Braydon raised an eyebrow at Blake. Braydon wasn't even sure what to say. "Mason was driving..?" Braydon said debating murdering Mason himself. He couldn't look at Blake because he couldn't imagine why blake would do taht or put himself in so much danger.

"Yes," Blake replied slowly, trying to figure out a way to convince Braydon that it wasn't Mason's fault, as it probably would've happened if Blake was driving too. They were both as high as each other, so it didn't really matter who was at the wheel when it happened - they would've been screwed no matter what. "But it really doesn't make a difference. If anything, it's better that he was driving than it was me because before we set off I had a twenty minute conversation with Chester, the cat with diabetes, about writing meowsicals featuring Bon Jovi... And he doesn't even own a fucking cat. At least Mason wasn't imaging diabetic cats." Blake shrugged, gaze dropping to stare at the bed in front of him, only guessing at Braydon would have to say in response. He'd be disappointed, that was for sure, but what else? Angry? Upset? Blake didn't want to think about it.

Braydon laid his head down on Blake's bed and sighed. He wasn't sure what to think he was kind of disappointed because Blake had never told him but yet he told Blake everything. "As long as you're okay.." Braydon said quietly trailing off a bit.

Sophie's eyes brightened slightly upon seeing Jasper, in truth she hadn't expected to see him she should have but she hadn't and in even more truth Sophie hadn't expected this night to happen (or whatever time it was) at all, ever. "Well, I hurt and ache and I'm pretty sure my sister is dead, so, to answer your question, no, I'm not okay." I will not cry, I will not cry, Sophie scolded herself inwardly, rubbing a hand over her eyes, as gently as she could because any amount of sudden movement seemed to just cause her even more pain. Her adoptive parents had popped in briefly, Sophie had been asleep though and Sophie guessed that the reason one of them wasn't there was because they were with Lily. Regardless, Sophie knew that she still had Jasper. "I am glad you're here though," Sophie admitted, attempting a small, groggy smile.

"Yeah, well we both know how good I am at asking stupid questions," Jasper replied, doing his best to lighten the situation given everything that was going on. He could already tell from the look on her face that Sophie wasn't doing great. She looked like shit, and that was putting it politely. Still, Jasper would do all could to help, even if there wasn't a lot he could do really, especially when it came to Sophie's sister. If she was dead, Sophie was going to be heartbroken, and Jasper honestly didn't know how he'd be any help at all - grief wasn't exactly his strong suit. The pain, however, he knew he could help with. Moving to sit next to her bed, he took her hand gently, jaw clenching slightly as his veins ran black, absorbing as much of her pain as he could. It wasn't a lot, but it'd do. Pulling away from her again, he slouched back in the chair before finally asking, "so, what actually happened? ...If you don't mind talking about it, that is... I can shut up if you want."

Sophie gave Jasper a small smile at the stupid questions comment but it faded quickly. Honestly, Sophie wasn't normally like this (she had her moments but most people whose parents were killed by hunters tend to, right?) usually she was more upbeat, but this, this was just a bit too much. Still, when Jasper came to sit next to her and took her hand, Sophie had no idea as to what to say, she knew what he was doing she just hadn't really been expecting it, Sophie had a habit of underestimating people sometimes, she tried to not do it too often though. "Thank you," Sophie mumbled, pulling her hand back under the thin sheet that the hospital bed had. "No, no you're fine." What had happened though. It took a moment for things to come back to her and when they did Sophie had to bite down on her lip - hard - before continuing.
"I was going home with Lily, she was driving... I mean, I can't drive so that point was probably stupid to say." Fingers fidgeting beneath the sheet, Sophie looked down at the small movement before speaking once again. "The light was green for us, red for the people in the other car, the care hit out car, it was going so fast. I think, I think it might have flipped over? Then our car was spinning and then Lily was screaming and then there was nothing." That was the best Sophie could think of and she hoped that it had made sense.

Preston looked down at the floor for a moment, not really sure what to say. Part of him just wanted to shake Mason and ask him what the hell he was thinking, but now wasn't the time for that. A nurse came up to Preston and explained that Mason had a broken leg and minor brain damage. Preston kept feeling more and more angry, but he had to keep his anger down because he knew that he couldn't take it out on Mason.
Preston thanked the nurse for talking to him, and then he turned back to Mason. "How are you feeling?" he asked, but he figured it was a silly question.

Mason looked over at Preston. "How would you feel emotionally if you found out you killed someone or better yet you hurt two other people? And to know it was your own stupidity I'm doing great." Mason said he didn't even care that he was having problems he just wanted everyone else to be okay.

Preston sighed, nodding. "Yeah..." he said. Preston wasn't really sure what to say to Mason. He wanted to make him feel better, but there was no feeling good about this situation. --- Nate wasn't completely sure what was actually going on. All he knew was that Mason had gotten in a car wreck while he was high. he stood behind Preston as they talked, but then his stomach twisted a little when he said he killed someone, since Nate remembered something about Mason and Blake hanging out today. "Wait, was Blake with you?" he asked, suddenly a bit panicked.

Nate nodded. "Um I think I'm gonna go see him, if I can," he said, looking to Preston for approval. He nodded, and then Nate went to ask where he could find Blake. He was worried about Blake, and he wanted to make sure that Braydon wasn't planning on murdering his brother any time soon, since he was surely already there. He found the room and walked in. "Uh hey," he said, hoping he wasn't interrupting anything.

"You're pissed at m-" Blake cut himself off mid-sentence as Nate came in, knowing that the guy wouldn't like to think he was interrupting anything - the guy took after Preston in that he was way too polite for his own good. Besides, the point Blake was about to make could wait until later, when he was feeling better and could actually get to the bottom of what he could've possibly done to annoy Braydon, even if he was doing his best not to show it. Maybe annoy wasn't the right word, either; from the look on his face he looked more disappointed than anything else.. Not that Blake particularly wanted to dwell on it.
"Hey Nate - how's Mason?" He offered Nate a warm smile, gesturing for him to come closer to the bed with his broken arm, deciding he'd like to move the one with the drip in a little as possible (even the thought of an iv made him feel sick, but it was a little late to do anything about it now). Waiting for an answer, his glaze flickered between Nate and Braydon quickly, knowing part of Braydon was still blaming Nate's brother for it all.

Nate shrugged a little. "He's mad at himself, which is understandable," he said. "He's also got brain damage or something, no one's really telling me anything." Nate walked over closer to Blake, feeling more comfortable here than he had with his family. "How are you? And I'll apologize on his behalf now, though I'm sure he'll probably apologize to you at some point to." Nate was glad that Blake wasn't angry at him, since he felt like he might have been for some reason, not that he did anything wrong. Nate glanced at Braydon somewhat nervously, waiting for him to speak up.

"Hey Nate." Braydon said with a forced smile. Not because crate just because he felt upset. He looked between Nate and Blake well they talked. Braydon tried care that Mason was feeling bad but he couldn't all he could do now is pretend like he cared and if anyone other than blake asked (when no one was there) he'd deny deny deny because braydon wasn't capable of being mean straight up so he just sat quietly and let Blake and Nate talk.

"If I was driving, the crash might not have been speeding through a red light, but it definitely would have been swerving to avoid a deer that didn't actually exist, so who am I to blame him? Besides, it was my house we were driving to - if I hadn't insisted on going home so early, it wouldn't have happened," Blake replied with a shrug, almost as if he had to justify why he wasn't pissed off to Nate, even though he clearly didn't. Besides, he was probably just trying to do his best to ignore the fact that Nate had just said Mason had brain damage, which couldn't be a good sign. That only left Nate's other question to answer before he really had to dwell on the fact that Nate was a lot worse off than him, and that was how he was. How was he? He didn't actually know. He felt fine, kind of. He ached a lot, and he hurt in places he didn't know it was physically possible to hurt. He felt like a bundle of bandages, pins and painkillers and, despite the fact he now had staples in his head, there was nothing seriously wrong with him, right? Or, at least, no one had told him any different.
"I'm good, I think? No one's really told me what's going on though. I've only just woken up, so..." he trailed off, not quite sure where he was going with this. It was slowly dawning on him that he had no idea what was actually going on and that, in itself, was terrifying, never mind everything else there was to be worried about. He hadn't even seen his parents yet, and he could only assume they'd come as soon as they heard - so where were they? "Have either of you seen my mum and dad?" he asked suddenly, frowning slightly as he looked around the room, almost as if he expected them to just appear.
