Jasper barely turned to check whether Iris was keeping up behind him, assuming that she was trailing behind somewhat. Still, when he did turn round the first time, she wasn't too far behind... And the second? She was gone. Unless she was supernaturally fast (which he doubted) and had managed to get past him without him seeing, she'd gone a different way. Fuck. Shaking his head, he clenched his fists into a ball and sped up, deciding to fuck it and just run as fast as he could, not really caring whether anyone saw him. Besides, no one was up at this time anyway, so the chances of being spotted were slim. He neared the police station a lot sooner than Iris, quickly slowing down as he reached the meeting point, slowing to a stop and leaning against a wall as he waited for her to appear, or turn up, or whatever.

Once she got to the right turning Iris slipped away, knowing that she now should be a few minutes ahead of him. She relaxed but instead of slowing down she speed up, going as fast as she could now. She knew she could just slow, but Jasper was fast and she didn't want to risk anything. So, she sprinted the short distance just to see him waiting for her at the station. Frowning, she slowed down and walked over to him while catching her breath "How the hell did you do that?" She demanded, glaring at him with a confused edge to her features.

Jasper just laughed, shaking his head as she glared at him, knowing he cheated but really not caring either way. Unfolding his arms and standing up properly, he let out a sigh before finally replying, "fine, you got me, I'm a werewolf." His voice was dripping in a sarcastic humor, hoping Iris remembered enough of their conversation in the library to actually get that he was kidding, and definitely didn't believe in any of that at all. Running his hand through his hair, only just remembering that he probably looked horribly sweated after he'd been running and that he should most definitely fix that... If only he could find a mirror nearby... He was probably out of luck with that one.

Iris rolled her eyes, but didn't say anything back to him since she now apparently had to be civil to him, which would be hard now that she had a comment about how sweaty he looked right on the tip of her tongue. She sighed, brushing bits of her hair that had escaped her ponytail back out of her face "So i have to be nice to you until we're both home?" She asked, not sure how long they were meant to try and get on with each other now.

Jasper just shrugged at first, honestly not all that fussed how long she'd keep the nice act up for... If she could even manage it. She didn't seem like the kind of person that was good at nice for very long. But, then again, neither was he, so it kind of worked. Offering her an awkward smile, he eventually decided, "only until you get home, wouldn't want you to have to be nice to me all the time, would we?" Even when trying to be nice, Jasper couldn't help but end up throwing a little sarcasm in there.

Iris flashed a hint of a smile at his comment and decided that as long as he was trying to be nice too then it should be easy enough. If he went back to being an ass though, someone was getting slapped. "We wouldn't" She answered as she finally took out her ear phones and rolled them up, slipping them into her pocket. She didn't need them right now so she may as well save the battery.

"Did I just- did I just make Iris Weata actually smile?" Jasper pulled a shocked expression, mouth open wide as he looked at her, only able to keep it for a second before he just collapsed into a laugh, one hand running through his hair. He took a step to leave, assuming it was now time to walk Iris back to her house like a true gentlemen (even if Jasper was anything but one of those), but quickly realised he had no idea where she lived or how to get there. Turning back to look at her, he shoved his hands in his pockets before eventually admitting, "I have no idea where your house is, but I kinda feel like I should walk you home.." He trailed off, shrugging his shoulders lightly.

"When you're not being a ass it really isn't that hard to do" Iris was a pretty smiley person most of the time, it's just when people weren't nice she obviously wasn't going to be very nice either. She grinned at him while he started to laugh, momentarily thinking about how different he was now to when she'd come across him today. If he carried on like this, she'd defiantly be able to put up with him. She raised an eyebrow then, wondering if she'd actually heard right "Is Jasper actually trying to be a gentleman?" She asked, sounding just as shocked as he had before. She then began walking in the direction of her house, assuming he'd follow.

"Sshh, don't say it out loud - you might ruin and then he'd be back to his naturally dickbag ways." Jasper quickly caught up with Iris, honest smile flickering at the corners of his lips. In truth, Jasper wasn't usually this nice and , honestly, he wasn't even sure why he was doing it now. Sure, he kind of had to considering that was the deal since he'd won the race, but it didn't mean he had to stick to it. He had a horrible habit of making promises he couldn't keep. And yet, for once, he was actually trying (shocking, right?). "You realise I'll probably drop you off and then get lost trying to find my way home, right?" He added quickly, not ashamed to admit he didn't really know this part of town at all.

Iris looked over at him with a light grin "Well where do you live? I might be able to give you directions" She suggested, since she didn't know where he lived and he didn't know how to get there, so she couldn't really walk him home. She didn't really understand how he didn't know how to get to his house from here, as she tended to know exactly how to get around town easily.

“Bellevue Avenue,” Jasper replied with a shrug, thinking for a minute before quickly adding, “but I think I’d probably be able to find my way from the police station – I’ll just try and remember the route from there to yours,” he decided, a little confused as to why he hadn’t thought of it before. It seemed like a pretty obvious plan; maybe he was just having an off day. “I, uh, I usually just get a driver to take me around town…” He admitted slowly, trying to explain his idiocy when it came to the poorer neighbourhoods. He didn’t need to know where something was to be driven there, and so he’d never even thought to learn.

Iris couldn't help but let out a laugh that she then quickly chocked down "You're so posh" She commented in an amused tone, glancing over at him quickly before turning her attention back to the road ahead. "Anyway, there's a shorter way there. When we get to my road you carry on going down it until you get to the bakery, then you turn right and walk straight then you should be somewhere you recognise. You'll be at one of the posher areas there, anyway" She did her best to explain, but wasn't sure if she'd actually done a good job or not.

"...Thanks? I do try," Jasper replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes at the comment about him being posh. Yes, he was, undeniably so. The reality was that, if you named an item, no matter how ridiculous it might sound, the Gold's probably owned at least two. Jasper's mother bought things just because she could, and no expense was spared when it came to her son and her daughter. They both had their own cars and drivers, hell, Jasper was pretty sure his mum had tried to persuade him to get a personal shopper so he didn't have go into town to buy clothes and 'associate with people'. Whatever. He was sure she was just a paranoid old lady, anyway. "You want to know the worst bit about it? My driver's name is Winston...Winston. He literally sounds like he walked out of a bad 1980s film where he's playing a butler with a tiny mustache and bow tie."

At that fact, Iris burst out laughing. The fact they all had personal drivers was bad enough, but Winston? Really? She clapped a hand over her mouth, and quickly calmed down enough to say "Please tell me he's British, too" She grinned, wondering if this driver guy completely fitted the stereotype, or if he just fell short. Either way, it was ridiculous.

Jasper burst into laughter, looking down at the floor to try and make him laugh less, it just didn't really work. He laughed anyway, unable to tell Iris all about how ridiculously stereotypical Winston was because he was laughing too hard, unable to explain that he was about as British as the Queen. When he finally stopped, he managed to get out the words, "he once spent an entire ride to school telling me about the time he met Matt Smith on the London Eye." He was sure that was enough to get across just how British Winston was; if it wasn't, Jasper clearly didn't know British people well enough.
