Stressed, that would be one way to describe what Jasper was feeling right now, and he hated it. It was the feeling of loss of control, he liked to think - the idea that when you were stressed, even your body was positive that you couldn't cope anymore - and Jasper was never one to admit when he was struggling. Hell, he liked to think that he never was. It was this ill feeling of unraveling that had driven him to the warehouse district, determined that the only way to get over it was to be pointlessly destructive, and there was nowhere else in town where people wouldn't notice copious amounts of damage. He'd only been there an hour or so when he finally got bored, getting ready to leave his mess behind when he heard a car engine far ahead and froze, ears pricking slightly at the noise. He still had time to leave if he wanted, and yet for some reason he just froze, unable to even move and deal with the problem... Even if it was the police about to arrest him for trespassing. He was on the brink of physically not caring about anything, and the cracks were already starting to show.

It was safe to say that Rose was still pissed off at Natalia, going to the club and getting drunk hadn't been enough, maybe driving her sister's car - possibly into a brick wall- would suffice. Driving around Rose had started just going in circles before eventually deciding to take a right turn, landing her straight into the warehouse district.Slowly her eyes began to take in the fact that the area looked a little worse for wear and Rose knew only a few things that could cause this much damage: a wrecking ball (hopefully without a naked Miley Cyrus on top) and a werewolf. Parking the car and hopping out, Rose rounded a corner to catch Jasper Gold, frozen to the spot, unable to help herself, Rose smirked taking in his frozen figure. "You look like a deer caught in some headlights."

Jasper blinked and, finally registering that it was Rose stood in front of him, wasn't quite sure whether to be relieved or even more worried. Pulling himself out of the nervous daze he was in, he couldn't even be bothered to shoot her his usual, signature smile, knowing that no amount of lazily thought out and slightly insulting remarks would get him out of the situation he was currently in. Finally finding the energy to reply, he slowly drawled the words, "what can I say? I'm having a bad day." He still didn't even bother to smile, hands shoved tensely into his back pockets as he watched her, not even caring to ask why she was here.

Something was definitely wrong with Jasper but Rose had no idea how to approach the topic, so, she didn't. At the same time though, the was a side of Jasper Rose had never seen, ever. "Okay..." Rose said after a moment, drawing out the road as she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her jeans, black jeans of course. "You know Santa won't bring you any presents if you're a grumpy shit." Tilting her head to one said, Rose released a lazy smile, enjoying the whole situation more than she probably should.

Jasper forced an unhappy, overly friendly smile for all of five seconds before dropping it again, quickly quipping her remark with, "he also doesn't bring presents to annoying bitches that live up their own arses, so I'm guessing you've never been given anything since you were, what? Three, if that?" Taking a slow step closer to her, his eyes narrowed slightly as he caught the hint of curiosity in her eyes. She knew something was off, he could see that quite clearly, but he was also fairly positive she wouldn't say anything about it unless prompted to do so. Honestly? Part of him wanted her to ask, especially since he was fairly positive that in one way or another, she'd actually give a shit about what was going on in his head. Not because it was him, obviously, but because it concerned a family member of her's.

Rose simply rolled her eyes at Jasper's remark, tongue pushing at the inside of her cheek. In truth Rose had nothing to say, she hadn't been expecting to find Jasper - or anyone for that matter - out here in the warehouse district, a place Rose had never imagined to find Jasper. "So... the warehouse district? Is this where all of the posh kids come and chill?" Rose quipped, eyebrows raising on her forehead as she tried to figure out why he was here, it was bothering her, that was for sure.

"Yes, this is clearly where I take my friends when I want to just 'hang out," Jasper replied, voice dripping in a bored sarcasm. Despite the obvious sarcasm, it wasn't exactly a lie that Jasper and his friends did occasionally end up here for a good time. Over the years, they'd found it was quite good for holding parties, raves and, hell, it could become a nice place for sleeping over as long as you bought enough duvets and a big screen projector to play films on one of the big, blank walls. He definitely wasn't about to point that out to Rose, however... There was a reason she'd never been invited. After a long pause, he finally added, his voice surprisingly calm considering he really didn't like the girl stood in front of him, "you really want to know why I'm here?"

"I wouldn't be asking otherwise." Rose replied dryly, folding her arms across her chest and waiting. It wasn't hard to guess why Rose and Jasper disliked/hated each other, one of them hunted the other and quite often that put a dent in the way people thought about each other. Despite this fact if Jasper broke down crying Rose wasn't sure what she'd do but laughing was probably not one of those things. "So, c'mon spill." Patience was not a strong suit of Rose.

"Where do you want me to start?" Jasper asked, raising an eyebrow at Rose, although it was clearly a rhetorical question. "Well, you know your dear old relative Natalia?" he asked yet another rhetorical question, using the time to filter out all the information Rose wouldn't want or need to know, figuring she probably wanted to know as little of his personal life as possible. She wouldn't care about the fact Levi had been missing for a week or so, she wouldn't care that his mother had resorted to literally locking herself in her room with what may as well be an entire liqueur store, and she definitely wouldn't care that he'd managed to break his friendship with Iris by being honest. Life really was a bitch, huh?
"She killed my Uncle a few weeks ago," he finished bluntly, gaze flickering to look up at Rose before dropping away from her again, turning away from her so he could pace, trying his best to keep as much emotion out of his voice as possible. It wasn't even the death he was bothered about, it was more who'd done it and why. "And, y'know, I'd understand if he'd ever actually done anything wrong, but the guy was basically an older version of Liam." There was a pause, and Jasper turned back to look at Rose again, "he was a vegan, for fucks sake... He once held a funeral for a rabbit he'd accidentally killed whilst turning, and now he's dead; the most innocent person in my family is dead."

What? Rose stood there stunned, hands dropping to her sides as she listened to Jasper, wrapping her head around the news. Why hadn't Natalia told her? For god's sake, the girl had explained about every other werewolf she'd killed, and in very gruesome detail too. What could Rose possibly say to make this situation better? Sorry... should she say that? "Are you sure it was her?" Stupid. Stupid, the words were a regret, too late to take them back now. Rose had told Natalia and Alex to stay away from Jasper and his family, but that was only a couple of weeks ago and that seemed to be after Jasper's uncle's death.

"The guy was a paranoid freak, he made a conscious effort to record everything, including his own demise. So, yeah, we're pretty sure." Jasper rolled his eyes, knowing there was no way Rose or Natalia could've known that but acting almost like they should've, like it was clearly Rose's fault that he was dead and that Natalia had gotten caught. It wasn't, obviously, but Jasper needed someone to blame and he had a feeling that, if he didn't at least pretend to partly blame Rose, the next time he saw Natalia she'd end up just be another body in gutter. Jasper didn't like the thought of killing a human, even if he did despise them.

"Wow, okay." Rubbing a hand over her face, Rose sifted through her brain, trying to come up with something to say. Saying sorry or I'm sorry still felt like the wrong thing to say but that was all she could come up with, Rose had never been an expert at words. "Jasper, I don't know what I can say to help, or what I can do. But if I don't know, smashing Natalia's car will help, then it's right around the corner." Rose didn't care about taking the blame or being grounded or anything like that, what she did care about was Natalia not being Jasper's next kill.

Jasper didn't reply for a minute or two, genuinely confused by the offer. He didn't tell Rose so she'd feel bad or struggle to console him. He told her because she needed to know, and because he figured the chances of Natalia having told her were fairly slim. He reality was that Jasper honestly didn't know how to respond to it, or what to do about it. He had no serious plans to do anything to Natalia, but it wasn't just the death of his uncle that was worrying. There was more going on than just petty killing in the name of humanity, but Jasper couldn't figure it out on his own.
"Trust me, grief is not something you need to help me with - I'm really not that bothered by the fact he's dead," he explained with a shrug, not quite sure how to get across what he meant without just sounding crazy. "I'm not upset because he's dead, I don't know how to be... I'm just - I'm concerned about something and, even though I'd rather lie and confess my hidden love of World of Warcraft and tell the world about my level one hundred warlock than ever actually admit this, I need your help."

Rose eyes Jasper critically, trying to figure out what he meant, "you need my help?" Rose asked, eyebrows furrowing together, she'd never once imagined the day that Jasper would ask something from her, other than for her to go fuck herself. Was he waiting for her to say yes she'd help, or no she would't? Because Rose didn't know what to say, taking a small step closer, Rose locked her eyes onto Jasper, "what are you concerned about? Because I'm concerned about the fact that you are asking me of all people for help."

Jasper just sighed, rubbing his eyes for a minute as he tried to explain in as little words as possible, already knowing that if he told her she'd only decide he was lying unless he had proof, which he did, just not here. Biting his lip, he finally responded, "let's just say that my uncle isn't exactly the first person to be found dead recently, and none of them were exactly human, so. I do have proof, but I don't exactly keep potentially incriminating files in my glove compartment, so I can't show you unless you want to come back to mine." He shrugged his shoulders lightly, honestly not sure if he was making any sense. He didn't care either way - he just really hoped she was willing to trust him on this one.
