Nate was lying in his bed, staring at the constellations painted on his ceiling and trying to think of something more interesting to do. He could go out, but he'd just end up going back home because he never knew where to go when he went out. Preston was out of time for the night on some kind of college trip, so he'd put Nate in charge of making sure Mason didn't blow the house up, so he was nervous to leave the house anyways. He thought about going to find Lia, but she'd been ignoring him more lately. So he just continued to stare at his ceiling debating what he was going to do for the night.
Then, as if answering his prayers, he heard the doorbell ring. He had no idea who would be at the door, but he jumped out of his bed and ran down the stairs to answer the door.

Braydon, as usual, was being totally boring. Okay, so maybe that was an over exaggeration, but it wasn't really Blake's fault that he had the attention span of a three year old having a sugar rush. Either way, one thing had lead to another and eventually it had lead Blake and Braydon here, to the Miller's. A friend of a friend of Blake's was having a party that night and, whether Braydon and Nate wanted to or not, they were coming. Practically dragging Braydon to Nate's house, he rang the doorbell impatiently, one hand impatiently drumming against his thigh as the other squeezed Braydon's hand lightly. When the door opened, he didn't even bother to say hi, immediately bursting into conversation, fingers still banging against his leg.
"Alright, so here's the deal. I'm bored, there's a party tonight, and he won't go if you don't go," Blake nodded towards Braydon, taking a breath for just a moment before finishing, "and I really don't want to spend another Friday night sat in my room, questioning why Marvel ever decided to make ANT Man a film and rethinking my mum's life choices, so we should go... Please."

Nate raised an eyebrow at Blake, honestly surprised. Nate had never been to an actual party before, and he never really wanted to. But Nate also had a serious problem with using the word no. "Uh yeah, sure," he said. "But I better not become some kind of third wheel, okay?" Nate had honestly been nervous about the whole 'third wheel' thing ever since Blake and Braydon started dating. Sure, he and Blake weren't super close or anything, but they ended up spending a lot of time together because of Braydon. Nate didn't have many people to consider friends, and he didn't really want to lose any of the ones he had.
He looked over his shoulder, just to make sure one of his siblings wasn't coming down the stairs or anything, then he slipped out the door and closed it behind him. "So, where is this party?" he asked curiously.

Braydon didn't really want to go to the party and he wouldn't had said that he'd go if nate said yes ifhe thought nate would say yes. "It's at this guy's house. His name is Xavier. " Braydon muttered.

"I promise that there will be no intentional third wheeling," Blake replied quickly, holding his hand up as if he was actually making a very serious pact and that he wasn't just hoping that he wouldn't accidentally do anything to piss Nate off. Blake was good at doing things like that - he blamed it on the fact he was just very high energy most of the time, and for some reason people couldn't always be arsed with it. Rocking back and forth on his feet, his gaze flickered from Braydon and Nate, trying to figure out whether Nate was as unenthusiastic about tonight's plans as Braydon clearly was. He didn't really care either way; they'd both said they would go, and so now they were both going, even if Blake had to drag them there himself.

Nate nodded, trying to think if he knew the guy throwing the party. The name was familiar, but he couldn't place it. Then he remembered. "Oh, I know him," he said, honestly surprised that he did. "He used to date my sister." Nate only ever knew people through his siblings or through Braydon, but he was always a little too proud of himself when he actually recognized the name of someone from their school, considering he didn't know most people.
Nate fiddled with his hands as he walked, obviously nervous about the party. Nate had never actually been to a party, and his prediction would be that he could end up sitting in a corner somewhere by himself and pretending that he wasn't there, so why had he decided to go? That was still a mystery to him. Peer pressure, he decided. Not that it really mattered. He was going now, and that was that.

"Oh well this should be fun." Braydon said with a smirk in regards to Nate knowing Xavier. E walked over to his car and sat down waiting for Blake and Nate to get on the car. He wasn't sure what to think about going to party and honestly he was hoping no one from his lacrosse team would be there but they probably will be

"What do you mean should be fun? It's going to be epic, even if I have to make sure you're both so drunk you can't remember that is wasn't." He paused, turning to look at both of them and grinning, quickly following Braydon to the car and slipping inside, taking the front passenger seat next to Braydon. He wasn't entirely being honest when it came to his previous sentence, knowing that he wouldn't really try to get them both so drunk, fairly positive that it'd only end badly. After all, it never had for him.

Nate raised an eyebrow at Blake. "I think I'll pass on that one," he said, sliding into the back seat of Braydon's car. Nate was terrified of drinking, not that he really had any reason to be. But his experience with drunk people consisted of Mason bringing Lia home unconscious, and he didn't want to end up like that. "But you two can go for it. I'll be the designated driver. At least then I have an excuse." Peer pressure wasn't something that Nate had ever dealt with very well, but if he had the responsibility of driving his friends home, then he'd have a reason to say no.

"Well in that case I'm getting extremely intoxicated." Braydon said with a smirk. He trusted nate with his car because nate was as careful as you could get. Braydon had gotten Drunk once it ended with him dancing and flirting since then he had never drank because of the huge hangover he got but that was only last year.

"Nate, I'm warning you now - and trust me I'm only telling you this for your own benefit - I'm a very annoying drunk," Blake turned to look back at Nate, grinning at Nate with a playful twinkle in his eyes, admittedly a little concerned that Nate would be sick of him by the end of the night. "I mean seriously, I'm the kind of drunk that just wants to smother everyone with hugs and tell everyone just how amazing they are... If I do that, feel free to whack me over the head with a wooden spoon." With that, he turned back to look at where they were going, slouching lazily in his seat.

Nate raised an eyebrow at him. "And that's different from sober Blake, how?" he joked, then he laughed a little at his own joke. Nate was prepared for the fact that Blake and Braydon would probably end up all over each other once they were drunk enough, but he was going to be a good friend and not get mad at them for it. Nate couldn't blame them, really. If he had a girlfriend, (and the courage to actually get drunk at a party) he'd probably be all over her too. But, unfortunately, Nate was far too socially inept to even talk to anyone of the female gender that wasn't related to him.

"Sober Blake wouldn't let you hit him with a wooden spoon without good reason," he insisted, yet again turning his head to look at Nate again. Grinning at Nate, he even bothered to stick his tongue out at the guy, knowing that the previous sentence wasn't exactly true. Sober Blake would definitely let you hit him with a wooden spoon, even if he didn't initially understand why it was necessary. Blake wasn't exactly the most sensible of people, and it was fairly obvious when you knew him long enough... Thinking wasn't exactly his strong suit.

"There will be no hitting people with spoons." Braydon said. He got to Xavier's house. "If anybody hits anybody with a spoon I'll hit them with a spoon. " Braydon said.

Why Xavier had decided to throw a party was really a bit of a mystery. His parents were away for the weekend, so it only seemed fitting that he invite everyone he knows to come over and get drunk and who knows what else. It was barely sundown and his house was already generally packed. Xavier never thought of himself as that popular, but a rich kid throwing a party in a big house wasn't something that many teenagers would pass up easily. But there was really only one person that Xavier was interested in attending his little party. He wasn't sure if she'd actually come, but a boy could dream, right?
