mechanic siblings • leo, 22, older brother wyatt, 14, younger brother overall history • elliot is the second born son of eddie and olivia munson. leo was born four years before him and had always been a caring brother. for four years, he was babied and smothered by his mother, but raised rather roughly by his father. eddie loves his sons, but fears that being too soft on them would lead to them going astray. his own brother, elliot’s uncle, died at a young age because his parents hadn’t guided him as a parent should. out of terror, he was a strict parent, but not cruel or abusive. when eli was four, his little brother wyatt was born. where leo and eli were loud and rambunctious, wyatt was gentle and soft like their mother. the boys lived a comfortable life in their modest, yet lavish, home. eddie was a mechanic with a speciality in exotic and antique cars. he owned his own shop: munson motors. he was worth a pretty penny to wealthy men. he could fix cars that no other person in the area could and was often paid to fly across the country to tinker on cars. olivia worked from home, which was painted in hues of green because she believed it promoted happiness, running the finances and handling the communications for eddie’s business. this position allowed her to be very hands on with the boys when they were home from school. each of her boys were very attached to her, but where leo and wyatt were nervous around their dad, eli was glued to his side whenever he was home. around eight years old, he began to show an interest in cars and his dad’s work. he loved the antiques and had no qualms about greasy hands and bruised arms as he helped his dad fix whatever vehicle he had in the shop. eddie tried not to be too hard on the boy, especially with the way his other two cowered around his large presence, but he was still firm. around twelve, eli found an old kodak camera in his mom’s office. he’d run off with it and taken pictures of their backyard and of biscuit, his mother’s pomeranian. quickly, he fell in love with photography. he was gifted a canon camera for his next birthday and not long after, he met sadie. he was snapping pictures at the pep rally at school and found himself drawn back to her. she was in his photography class with him, the pair having bonded over the art of it. they had stood side by side taking photos of the crowd and he’d kept inching closer to her. she was his first kiss, beneath the bleachers as the students filtered off the football field. she promptly told him that she was a lesbian. somehow, she became his best friend. there was a kind of relief in it. they’d gotten along so well that he had feared that him kissing her would have shattered their friendship, but it hadn’t. they were each other’s wingman, reeling in ladies left and right. she’d spend the night at his place and braid the munson boys’ hair while they fought over mario kart. he’d walk her home from school after a group of girls had picked on her for being ‘different’. elliot had always been popular. though his focus had always been on cars and photography, he played on several sports teams throughout his school years. when he put his foot down and verbally shamed the girls for what they’d done to sadie, they were as good as banished. as he entered high school, he gathered a few more closer friends. gavin, freddy, steven, and zach were his boys. while sadie was always his best friend, the boys were always there for him and vice versa. the group was tight knit and well known. he got his first girlfriend at fourteen, a kind girl named emily, but they broke up after about six months because of nothing other than young foolishness. from then on, he began to cycle through girls, but it wasn’t until he was fifteen that he lost his virginity to mae holmes. she had been his most serious girlfriend and their break up stung the worst. he loved her, he thinks, but after leo had run off to new york after graduating, elliot was crushed and reckless. he broke up with her in a fit of rage and got into fights throughout that summer with anyone willing to look at him the wrong way. leo had been set up to take over the family business, but he had other dreams. when he told their dad that he wanted nothing to do with the auto shop and that he was bisexual, eddie told him that he never wanted to see him again. eddie had been okay with sadie, but once it was his own kid that was different? he couldn’t handle it. leo didn’t reach out often to either of his brothers, too ashamed to even try. wyatt became more withdrawn after leo left, but elliot became wild. he was desperate to fill the void his older brother had left, that mae had left. sophomore year, eli met blake. they were sat next to each other in biology and bonded over their shared love for the female form. sabrina had left blake the month before school started and he was eager to take tips from eli on how to finesse a woman. eddie and olivia spent a lot of time traveling, fixing cars in different states often and going on vacations now that the boys were old enough to be left on their own. he threw his first party not long after meeting blake, using a fake i.d. a few cities away to get alcohol. it became habitual. when his parents left, he threw a party. blake frequented them. occasionally he would bring his other friends as well. through these parties, he gained popularity. when he turned sixteen, his father gifted him with a rebuilt ‘68 chevy nova—his dream car—and a little mutt puppy he named titan. sadie was his co-pilot in the car, the girl too afraid to get her own license. he made his boys sit in the back, which was a cramped fit. eli played on the basketball team at beacon hills high, but he focused on his photography club where he would spend his afternoons with sadie. at seventeen, his father hired him at the shop officially. he worked on the weeknights he didn’t have clubs or practice, earning spare change to pay for party supplies, gas, or other little extras. he hasn’t had a girlfriend since mae, but has slept with a few girls. not many, but to let off steam he occasionally did. at eighteen, in the year 2018, he was starting his senior year. he shared gym class with blake, history with sadie, and economics with a pretty girl named jade—who he knew was dating blake’s best friend, ashton. eli didn’t know blake’s friends very well, but got along with them when they interacted. eli got along with everyone, naturally. that’s why, in august of 2018, when blake and him were leaving the locker room and ran into jade, he didn’t hesitate to offer to walk with her to their class. eli wasn’t a homewrecker, he was just being friendly. the visuals home • a single-story, simple four bedroom home with a sizeable kitchen and a large but homey living room. there are two bathrooms. elliot and wyatt live in the rooms across from one another while their parents are at the other end of the house. leo’s old room is used as their mother’s office. they have a fenced-in backyard for their dogs to roam around in and a pool. the garage is very organized and full of mechanic supplies and parts.car • a 1968 black chevy nova with white racing stripes pets • biscuit, an orange pomeranian, and titan, a border collie/australian shepherd mix outfits • he is apt to be wearing something more casual than not because he looks good in anything and doesn’t have to try. often in jeans with either a plain shirt layered with a jacket or overshirt or just a sweater given the weather. he dresses up on what he likes to call ‘fancy fridays’, wearing khakis and a nice polo or striped shirt. he started this as a child with his older brother and can’t find it in himself to stop now that leo had left them. the threads from
