It had been a week if none stop teasing, eggs getting thrown at him and after the fifth time of nearly getting punched Braydon just let it happen. Braydon couldn't figure out anymore he couldn't figure how his life fell apart or what he did to deserve this. He just knew the final straw for him was when he came to school And someone had put pictures of Blake on his locker.
Braydon ripped some of the pictures off before going home pretending he was just going back to his car and instead going home. He spent the car ride crying and debating swerving into a pole. The tears blurring his vision. When he got home he wasn't sure what happened. His notifications on his Facebook going crazy calling him names and he just couldn't take it. He screamed into a pillow, he cried and stared at the ceiling. Finally throwing his laptop across the room and his phone at the door he curled into a ball. He laid there for a good hour until he stumbled up and went into the bathroom and he grabbed the pills.
He laid in his bed and he swallowed them all, then everything went black.
It was a hour later...his little sister found him after his mom told her to see if he was home. "Mommy Braydon's asleep. I think he took some medicine there's a bottle in his hands." The five year old told his mom. His mom was beginning to worry and went upstairs. She nearly screamed at the site before her,"Braydon!" She went up to his body and could feel a faint pulse and quickly called the ambulance.
She sat there crying holding his hand. The medics came and took him to the hospital. His mom dropped his sister off at her grandmas across the street and his mom then followed the ambulance to the hospital.
Eight days later
Braydon had been out of the hospital for two days now. His mom let him skip school and he was at home laying on the couch in his room. His mom hadn't given him his phone back and he told her not to tell Blake or Nate but his mom did anyway without telling Braydon.
So there Braydon was laying on the couch in his room. The tv not even on and no motivation to do anything or go anywhere. Braydon felt good with the silence and maybe that was a good thing.
Braydon wasn't sure when he'd be ready to go back to school but it wasn't now. Braydon was far from ready. Right now he just wanted to close his eyes and fall asleep forever so he tried. Braydon drifted off to sleep and hoped that maybe he could stay like that.

The past few weeks had been quiet, to say the least. Brayden hadn't come into school for a week, probably more, Blake was starting to lose track of the days. He'd thought about going over before, but whether it was his own selfish fear of seeing his best friend completely broken or idea he'd planted in his head that Brayden probably didn't want to see him right now, he'd decided against it. Part of him was terrified to face him, knowing that part of it was all his fault, his head screaming that he should've been there - should've done something to stop it. He should've stopped being so completely useless for once in his life, and actually done something for someone else. It was too late now though, clearly, because his best friend had nearly died once already. Sure, Blake did have friends that weren't Braydon, and he and Jasper did get on most of the time (but only when the guy had decided he didn't want to be a complete jackass to everyone, which wasn't very common, it seemed). But no one quite made up for Braydon, and he doubted they ever would.
It was through pure desperation to see his friend that he finally stopped by, skipping school in favour of turning going next door, honestly not sure whether the boy living there would be happy to see him or not. Either way, it was too late, because he'd already jumped the garden fence and walked in the back door, knowing the family rarely locked it when one of them were home. "Hey," he said quietly from behind Braydon, pausing there a moment before taking a seat in one of the chairs, elbows rested on his knees nervously as he leaned forward and stared at the floor. It was no lie that Blake hadn't really slept since he'd found out, head swimming with thoughts that he was fairly sure shouldn't be there, but didn't quite know how to stop. It didn't matter anyway because, truth be told, the boy rarely slept anyway. "I'm guessing how are you is a stupid question?" he quickly added, lifting his gaze to look at Braydon, doing his best to hold it together for him.

Blake looked over at Blake when he heard someone, he was surprised to see Blake. "Probably. " Braydon said with half a smile. "My mom told you?" Braydon asked. He didn't want blake to see him like this. He hadn't seen blake in a week which was the longest they've gone without seeing each other since they became friends.

"No, actually, I just figured I'd practicing my breaking and entering techniques," Blake immediately quipped, admittedly not very good at handling the seriousness of the conversation. But, then again, when did Blake ever really cope with seriousness? Never. "I mean, I'm sure it would've gone a lot better had you actually been in school, that way I wouldn't get caught, but what can you do?" He shrugged his shoulders, even bothering to force a light grin, nose scrunching slightly in the process. He leaned back in the chair, deciding that he wasn't very good at the whole 'serious pose' thing, and that it definitely did not leave enough room for fidgeting. Once he was finally comfortable, he finally actually answered the question, still unsure of whether Braydon was in the mood for silly and serious because, if it was the latter, Blake probably wasn't the best person to talk to right now. "Yeah... She's really worried about you."

Braydon leaned against his couch and looked over at Blake. "Well as long as it's you and not some burglar I don't think my mom would mind." Braydon said. "I know...She dint want to leave me alone today but she had work." Braydon said quietly. He was going to say he was fine but last time he said that he wasn't. He was actually far from fine but if Blake ever asked him for the exact reason braydon wouldn't know how to answer him. Braydon was scared that if he told Blake and Blake didn't like him back he'd end up back where he started.

Blake didn't say anything for a minute, honestly not sure what he should say, having never really been in this situation before. He'd never really had to comfort anyone or looking after them. Hell, he was usually the one that had to be looked after. Being on the other end, well, it was kind of new to him, to say the least. Still, he was going to try, even if it killed him. Besides, it was Braydon, for fucks sake, they'd been inseparable since they were three, and Blake didn't plan on letting that change any time soon. Slowly, he stood up and moved to sit next to Braydon, biting his lip before announcing, "y'know you can talk to me about anything, right? I don't care whether you're gay or straight or bisexual or - hell, I don't even care if you came up to me and told me you wished you were a woman, okay? I'm your best friend, and I'm going to be here whether you want me to or not... Even when we're eighty and neither of us can walk properly - I will still break into your house to make sure you're okay, and I don't intend for that to ever change."

Braydon just pursed his lips. "But you already know I'm gay.." Braydon said trailing off. "It's just...When sven did that I couldn't take it..He re started stuff that haopened two years ago when I first came and made it worse. The guys on the team they don't even talk to me anymore." Braydon trailed off and looked at the ground. "And I was afraid that you weren't going to want to stay much longer." Braydon said quietly. He could feel himself want to cry but he didn't. He wasn't comfortable crying in front of anyone. "After that more than anything, I wanted to disappear. "You realise most of the people on that team are kind of dicks, right?" Blake asked, mind running through the list of names of people on the team and knowing that, whilst he had a tendency to get on with most people (as long as there wasn't a slight language barrier), Braydon didn't get on with any of them. Sure, whilst Blake could even find it in him to get on with even the worst of people, Braydon struggled to keep it together. "I mean, do you really want to be friends with Jasper and Sven and all the rest of the people in school that I honestly don't think have a polite bone in their body? Sure, I get on with them most of the time, but I'd never pick any of them over you, and I don't care what any of them do to me for it." He paused, realising he was probably rambling and not making much sense at all, and she sat quietly for a minute or two, foot nervously banging against the floor before he just decided to fuck it, and slid his hand into Braydon's, squeezing it lightly in a vain attempt to be comforting.
"What I mean is," he concluded, "you're my best friend, and everyone else can go fuck themselves if they think I'd ever leave you."

Braydon felt his heart skip a beat when Blake held his hand even if it was just to comfort him. "But what about all those pictures and why would you wanna be friends with someone who go their face smashed into a locker everyday?" Braydon asked. He looked down at the ground. He pursed his lips trying not to think about it.

"Because you're not just the guy that whose face gets smashed into a locker every day to me," Blake replied simply, as if it was a fairly obvious question. The lifted his gaze to look at Braydon properly, a certain questioning look in his eyes as he tried to figure out why Braydon thought so low of himself, why he was so determined that everyone was going to leave him just because someone didn't like him. People didn't work like that, but Blake had no idea how to explain that without just sounding patronising. "Seriously though, you're the only guy I know that willingly endures half the crap that comes out of my mouth every single day for over ten years now, so that makes you pretty damn special to me."

Braydon looked over at Blake. "Blake...." Braydon trailed off. "I have something to tell you." Braydon said but he was waiting until he had B lake's attention. His heart was beating like crazy.

Blake just raised an eyebrow at him, cocking his head to the side as his lips twisted into a teasing smile. "You have something to tell me?" he asked, still eyeing Blake mysteriously before quickly adding, "and there I was thinking I was the talker in this friendship. You really do surprise me, y'know, Braydon." Leaning in to Braydon slightly, Blake couldn't help but wonder what it was. Surely, if it was that important, Blake would already know it, right? Or was Braydon keeping more things from Blake than he thought? Either way, he figured he was about to find out.

Braydon felt himself start to shake. He looked at the ground. "Look this it may make you hate me and it's okay if you run out of this house I'll be fine." Braydon said. He looked over at Blake. "I - I like you... I have since first grade they're not lying I like you...A lot." Braydon said quietly. He looked over at the window. He wasn't sure what to say and just felt himself shaking.

Blake blinked. He didn't know what to say, what to do, what to anything. Stupidly, it wasn't something he'd actually expected, always assuming that Braydon liked someone more interesting than him, some that was... Well... Gay. Blake was most definitely straight, probably. Or, at least, he thought he was, but he'd never actually given it much thought. He liked people, not genders. Hell, he couldn't give less of a crap what you were as long as he liked you. Realising he'd probably just been staring at Braydon for all of five minutes without saying anything, he finally snapped his attention back to reality, biting his lip as he tried to think of a suitable response. Instead, all that he managed was "wait, what?" He mentally scolded himself, knowing there were a million better ways to cope with being told someone liked you than that. Oh well, it was a bit late now.

"Look blake...I understand if you don't like me like that..I - I do." Braydon looked the other way. He wiped the tear pouring down his cheek away. Braydon fidgeted around with his hands still not bothering to look at Blake.
