Not even 5 minutes after everyone had logged off chat, all angry with each other thanks to circumstances not all of them really understood, Iris had received a text from Jasper asking if they could meet for coffee or something. She assumed he wanted to do his best to explain. It took Iris 10 minutes to reply to his text, and when she finally did she almost refused his offer, but decided nothing good could come out of ignoring him. For all she knew nothing good would come out of seeing him, but she figured it was worth a shot.
The truth was, there was a piece of Iris that still missed Jasper, and she'd tried to deny it but she couldn't. She knew seeing him again would be weird, but there was one tiny bit of her that was slightly excited, though. That one tiny part wasn't enough to make her forget how and why she was so pissed off at him, though. He'd dropped off the face of the planet and hadn't bothered to send her one message the whole time he'd been away, leaving her to wonder if he was even still alive. And then both him and Liam came back with no explanation and expected everyone to be fine with it.
Iris had had so many days and sleepovers with Rose where the topic of Jasper and Liam had come up, and they had both had spent so much time being upset over them, wondering why the boys had suddenly decided Rose and Iris weren't worth their time. Iris didn't like to admit it, but it had fucked her and her self esteem up a bit. Obviously now she had Jensen, who had helped her through it all a lot, but it didn't change the fact that she had been hurt in the first place.
So, she threw on some clothes, made her was to the closest cafe and sat down with a coffee. She never used to like coffee, but she'd grown to like it recently. The cafe was pretty empty now, there was only one or two customers there other then Iris, and luckily she didn't see anyone she recognised from school working. When she walked in she noticed she was the first one there, probably because she lived closer, and part of her was happy that she was the first one there since it gave her a chance to get all her thoughts in order before he arrived, but the other half wished she'd been the second one there. At least hen she could have made a dramatic entrance.
