This trampoline was one of the few things that had travelled with the Little family through all their homes. Wherever they went, the trampoline went, and it was weird for Erin to even think about the fact that she and Jade could both be moving out soon, and they wouldn't have the old trampoline to waste their time on, chatting into the night. The sun has just passed the horizon, so the sky was Erin's favourite type of blue- dark, but bright. Twilight. It wasn't pitch black, and you could still see your surroundings and the person you were talking too, but everything was still washed out in a beautiful blue colour which Erin thought made everything better. The only colour that Erin felt could beat the colour of the sky right now was green- but green like the forest, not too bright, and more neutral then anything else. That was Erin's favourite colour.
She turned her eyes away from the sky and up to her sister, who was currently sitting on the trampoline, while Erin was sprawled out on the surface of the fabric. She felt like she hadn't been getting enough quality time with Jade recently, what with school, graduation looming right around the corner, and the little problem of Ashton; so she'd made sure both of them were free so they could just chill together, like they had back in the old days. There was an empty pizza box beside the girls- since their parents were out of town for the weekend obviously all they'd done was use the opportunity to eat take out pizza, not throw a wild party. "So, anyway, how've you been?" Erin asked with genuine curiosity. She didn't want just a vague answer like 'fine', but a proper explanation of how Jade had been feeling over the last few weeks, because why not? New town, new year, there must be a lot to tell, right?

Jade shifted her position on the trampoline, kicking one leg out in front of her, causing herself and Erin to bounce slightly. These days they didn't have the hour long who could bounce the highest competitions but the trampoline still felt like a huge part of their lives. It was a sign of innocence, of pure childlike adrenaline something Jade sometimes wondered if she and Erin had missed because of their moving about. Regardless, Jade knew she'd miss the trampoline when she moved out. Even though the sun had now gone to sleep the air was still warm and sticky around them, summer had turned up fast and hot this year and Jade wasn't sure if she was prepared for it.
Looking back down at Erin, Jade smiled nudging her body with her foot playfully. They'd had a nice evening so far, just chilling and eating pizza, it made Jade feel younger again. At Erin's question, Jade's smiled flickered, knees drawing up to her stomach. "Um," wow, great start, Jadey. "Well...um," great more fillers, surely you have something more to say, Jade. "I guess I've been okay, I mean I like it here. The people are nice," her mind turned to Ashton immediately, her smile turning coy because honestly this boy turned her to goo and she had no chill."I feel comfortable here, you know?" In Jade's mind she knew that Erin probably wanted a more in-depth answer but she just didn't know what to say at this point. "Do you like it here?" Jade asked even though the truth of it was that even if she didn't like it, they'd be moving out soon so what did it really matter?

When Jade moved, causing the trampoline and therefore Erin to bounce a bit, she groaned. It seemed that Erin was so lazy that she didn't even like moving when she wasn't actually doing anything- who would have thought. When Jade nudged her with her foot Erin couldn't help rolling her eyes, playfully swatting her leg back. The stuttering and fillers caused Erin to look up at her twins face, it wasn't unusual for Jade to have trouble finding her words, but she was a bit confused about why she would have trouble when it was just the two of them, no one else, and all Erin wanted was an honest answer.
'The people are nice' Erin was pretty sure she knew exactly who Jade had in mind when she said that, and Erin's flooded with guilt for a second. She hadn't told Jade what had happened between her and Ashton at the party- she knew how much Jade liked him and didn't want to ruin anything for her sister, so she wasn't intending to say anything, but she still felt bad. "I think you fit in here. You've deffiently seemed happier here then anywhere else" Erin told her, smiling up at her sister. All she wanted was for Jade to be happy, and she'd do as much as she could to make sure she was. She froze for a moment at Jade's question, though. Did she like it here? She'd never really thought about it too much, as she hadn't expected they'd be staying. Shrugging, Erin replied, "I don't know. I guess. I don't think I really fit here, though" She admitted. Ever since they'd gotten to Beacon Hills Erin had been making bad decisions, and then feeling shit about those decisions, and there was almost something about the place that made her feel like she wasn't welcome. Obviously she knew that was stupid, and it was probably a subconscious guilt thing, but she couldn't tell.

She was happier here. She felt settled, like the world wasn’t about to be ripped out from under her feet if she didn’t want it to be. She didn’t have to go to college this year if she didn’t want to, she could stay around here and help her parents or find another job somewhere locally. But for the first time in her life, Jade felt like she had some form of control over where she lived and maybe that came from being 18 but Jade was sure it had something to do with the fact that Beacon Hills made her feel confident, like she’d have a future here. “I am happier, much happier.” Jade told Erin in reply, finger swirling around the black of the trampoline, drawing patterns that no one would ever be able to see.
Erin’s answer made her finger still though as Jade looked over at her twin, “of course you fit in. I fit in and by default so do you, I’m sorry I don’t make the rules, that’s just twin law.” Jade told her, nudging Erin with her foot. “I’m sorry that you’re unhappy here… I wish you were, you deserve to be. I mean you’ve never done anything wrong, not really, so you deserve a happy life.” So okay maybe Jade wasn’t about to become a motivational speaker but she had to try. “What would make you happy? Do I need to find you a hobby, a group of friends? Do I need to buy you a dog?” Jade asked all of this with laughter in her voice, hoping Erin could see that she meant this all rather jokingly.

Erin smiled, she was glad Jade was happier here- all Erin ever wanted was her sister too be happy- but there was a sad tint to it. She knew how Jade felt would constantly be effected by Erin, and she knew that her being unhappy would bring Jade's mood down, and she also knew if Erin decided to leave Beacon Hills it would create a gap in both the Little twins hearts.
"Well, twin law is BS. I can't even read your mind" Erin replied, nudging her sister back. Jades next sentence made Erin's smile falter completely. The fact that Jade still thought of her so highly honestly hurt her slightly. Sure, in the grand scheme of things Erin kissing Ashton once didn't make mean much, but the little twangs of jealously she felt when she saw Jade and Ashton together, and the fact that Erin was pretty sure she'd make the same mistake again given half the chance did mean something, and constantly made her feel guilty. "It's not your fault i'm unhappy here. In fact, you're the only thing that makes it bearable," She admitted, "I can think of a few people who would disagree with me deserving a happy life, though"
"I think you deffiently need to by me a dog" Erin replied with a laugh. A dog might not be such a bad idea, and now Jade had brought it up Erin knew she would genuinely be considering getting a dog from somewhere in the future. The Little's tended not to be allowed pets, since they travelled so much, but the family seemed pretty settled here in Beacon Hills, so this might finally be the time that they could get one. "Do you think mum and dad would actually let us get a dog?" Erin asked, wondering aloud as she looked over at her sister.

"Maybe you can read my mind but you just don't realise it?" Jade suggested, flopping over onto her back and then her front as she tried to find a comfortable position. Honestly it wouldn't surprise Jade if Erin could actually read her mind, often Erin knew what Jade wanted more than Jade did, which yes, sounded absolutely cliche but it was the solid truth and Jade was glad she knew that she had someone she could always trust and turn to. "Who wouldn't want you to be happy?" Jade scoffed, rolling her eyes at her twin. "Someone has to really dislike you for that and you're too pretty to be hated."
"I do need to buy you a dog. Maybe not just for your own sake but for mine. Also, it'll help you find a boyfriend cause everyone immediately loves people with dogs about ten times more than they otherwise would have, so, it's bulletproof plan." Erin was right though, Jade doubted their parents would let them get a dog but maybe it was worth a try? Especially if they were going to stay there in Beacon Hills, actually, "Erin, do you think we'll stay here until we graduate? You don't think mum and dad will want to move on again, do you?" There was genuine concern in Jade's voice as she stared down at the black mesh of the trampoline, peering through its tiny holes.

"I think i'd be able to tell if i could read your mind- just a constant stream of 'ooh Ashton is so cute i want to kiss his dumb face ooh'" Erin teased, grinning over at her sister, she knew she would probably get kicked of shoved because of her comment, but she didn't really care. Erin then shrugged, she could definitely think of someone who probably didn't want her happy, but she didn't want to say any names and pop Jade's bubble, "I don't know, but i'm sure there's someone out there. You know being hated for being pretty is a thing?" She asked. She'd read an article about something like it on one of those crappy websites once.
Erin shook her head, frowning lightly as she thought for a second "Yeah. I don't think they'll make us move before graduation, maybe after though" Their parents did care about their education to a certain extent, and they wanted to see Erin and Jade graduate. There was a reason Erin hadn't been allowed to drop out, after all. She knew their parents could probably see how well Jade had settled here, too, so they might even end up staying bit longer, if Jade carried on feeling as happy here as she did at the moment.

Jade blushed at Erin's comment, lazily swatting the top of Erin's head with her hand, "shut up, I occasionally think about other things, too. So it wouldn't be a constant stream." Jade was fine joking about the topic but when she really thought about it all she could feel was excitement and then her face would break into a stupid grin which she didn't really want to show Erin in case she was teased some more. Which she probably, no definitely, would be. "You'd only be hated because people are jealous of you, not because they'd don't actually want to be you. I mean come on, it's that old saying, 'guys want to be with me and girls want to be me,' that's you down to a T." Jade told her with a smile, inching her way closer to her twin. Frankly sometimes Jade was jealous of her sister, often feeling like it was Erin that got people's attention and managed to impress them whilst Jade was more of just an attachment to Erin as opposed to being her own person.
"After graduation we could be moving anyway," Jade picked at the edge of her nails, a bad habit that she really needed to stop one of these days. "To college, I mean." Jade added after a moment, realising she hadn't justified what she was saying. The thought of college hadn't been particularly prominent on Jade's mind but she guessed that she probably needed to start thinking about it more seriously soon.

Erin rolled her eyes with a laugh "You disgust me" She teased. She tended to completely avoid thinking about Jade and Ashton spending time together, even though she knew it obviously happened, for numerous reasons, some of which she didn't want to admit. She mostly just told herself she didn't like thinking about Jade spending time with Ashton because Jade was her sister, and Ashton was an ass who would undoubtedly hurt her. Erin was kind of taken off guard by Jades comment, she'd never thought she was the kind of person someone might want to be- sure, she was quite pretty, but she was so closed off and an utter bitch to most people that she assumed most people just wrote her off ad forgot about her pretty quickly. "You're just saying that because you're my sister and you have to be nice to me"
College was another thing Erin had never thought much about, just because she couldn't really picture herself there. She would probably just get a job somewhere and try and start her life up rather then spending another few years in education, which was something she'd never agreed with or enjoyed much. "Yeah, maybe" She replied.

"Give a fuck," Jade replied with a laugh. There was a small part (okay that's a large, a relatively large part) that wondered what Erin thought of Ashton these days. When Jade first met Ashton, Erin had not been his biggest fan. Things didn't seem all that different these days but maybe Jade was just blind to it? Or maybe Erin was just keeping up appearances and in reality didn't mind Ashton. Either way, Jade didn't get round to asking, mainly because she was worried about what the answer would be.
"I'm not just saying that." She knew for sure the boy factor of it. She'd often been asked if her sister was seeing anyone or if she'd mentioned said boy. Most often the answer was no. Jade wasn't even sure who Erin's type was. What kind of boy was she even attracted to? Jade actually had no idea.

"Never" Erin said with a laugh. "It's me. My name is basically 'Erin i don't give a fuck Little'" She added. Sometimes pretending like you didn't care about anything was actually quite fun, as you forgot you did actually care about stuff, and so you could walk around not worrying about what people thought about you, or what they said about you, but then all of a sudden all that stuff would hit you out of know where, and you'd be left as a shaking ball of anxiety. Still, Erin did it for the perks, and would come to the 'ball of anxiety' bridge when she came to it.
"Okay, if you say so" She replied, though she was still pretty much convinced that Jade was only saying it to be nice, since she had fitted in a lot better then Erin and she just wanted to make her feel better, or whatever. "Just remember, you're pretty hot shit too" She said with a laugh.

But she did and Jade knew that. She'd seen her sister cry in the past, it wasn't pretty and whether Erin had seen Jade or not, her twin always seemed to try and not actually care like she didn't want to face reality head on. One day it would come though and Jade was almost worried for when it did and what it would leave of Erin. "I'm pretty sure it doesn't say that on your birth certificate." Jade teased.
"Well," Jade began as she slid over so that she was directly next to Erin, body parts aligned. "If I'm hot shit then so are you because we are twins after all." They had the same eyes and were the same height and if you looked in right lighting they did look pretty similar but whether they looked the same or not, part of Jade's heart would always belong to Erin. Regardless of what their future faced. "You know what, it's getting kinda chilly. Maybe we should head inside?" That and the fact that Jade was certain she'd be waking up with at least 5 mosquito bites in the morning.

"It does, i asked mum the other day" Erin grinned. "Your birth certificate actually says 'Jade i'm a fuckin nerd Little'" She teased back "Mum and dad had weird taste in names" She finished as Jade slid closer to her. She looked over at her sister and smiled, wondering for a second where she'd be with out her twin. Jade had been with her through thick and thin, she'd never had a better friend then Jade, and probably never would. She felt like she could speak to Jade about anything. Well, nearly anything. Maybe feelings about a certain green eyed boy were a bit off the table. Whatever happened in their futures, though, Erin hoped she'd always have her twin to turn to.
"That's very true. Lets just agree we're both hot shit" She said, then reached over and squeezed Jade's hand. "Yeah, sure" Erin replied. It was getting pretty cold now, and there was no point them freezing their butts off when they had a perfectly good house to be inside of, so Erin stood up, bouncing lightly as she did so. She scooped up the now empty pizza box that had been lying next to them and looked down at her sister to see if she was going to move any time soon.

"Yeah, super weird." Jade replied with a laugh, pushing a strand of hair out of her face. She considered getting a bob a month back but just imagining having short hair had made her nearly cry so she'd figured that maybe that wouldn't be the best decision. For as long as she could remember she'd had long hair. They both had, it was just a part of them. "Must be our birth certificates where I got my love of swear words from then."
"The hottest shit." Jade added before squeezing Erin's hand in return and offering her a smile. She knew when she looked at that smile that she was home, no matter where she was and no matter what either of them were going through. Since the moment they'd become a possibility, they'd become home to each other. "I'm moving, I'm moving." Jade said, sliding her butt to the edge before hopping off to the ground and offered a hand up to Erin to help her get down. Not that she needed it but Jade was feeling sappy so she might as well. "I love you, you know." She said as she smiled up at Erin, stars painting a background behind her twin. Jade didn't think she said it enough and now was as good a time to remind her as any.

Erin took Jades hand despite being perfectly able to just off the trampoline herself. Sometimes it was nice to let yourself be helped, even if it was just helped with the smallest things, and it helped you remember that whoever was helping you now would still be there down the line when you were faced with bigger challenges. So, she hoped down with her hand in her twin sisters and a smile on her face. "I know. And i love you too" She replied, suddenly overwhelmed with affection for her sister. She honestly had no idea how she would have turned out if it wasn't for Jade.
