Okay, so they were just going to hang back, leaving him to navigate through this maze of a mall on his own. Great.
Nimble fingers attached one side of his hoodie to the other, blindly connecting the zipper to the other side before dragging it up his chest halfway. Shoving his hands inside the warmth his pockets permitted, Ashton let himself huff out a small sigh before setting his gaze wondering. Surely there'd be some hint as to where the freaking food court was, right? Geez.
Green eyes danced back to find the girls, scanning over each of them approvingly. If he was honest with himself (and when was he ever not?), they were both really hot- each in their own way, despite being twins. Weird how it works that way, but still. Erin was breathtaking, anyone could see that. With sharp angles, hard curves, and a beauty that couldn't quite be defined. He'd be lying if he said she wasn't gorgeous, but that spite she held onto so dearly made her hard to work with. Ashton wouldn't be able to touch her with a ten foot pole. Jade, on the other hand, was nearly angelic. Soft to the touch, easy on the eyes, but holding tightly onto that hidden strength. She was moldable, bent in all the right places for a guy like himself. One who'd give a good chase, but is desperate for the catch in the end.
If Ashton wants to benefit from their company at all, it'd be Jade he'd hunt after. She was his in.
Turning his attention back ahead as his said prey asked her question, he couldn't contain his smirk. With a small shrug and shake of the head, he simply called back, "Not a clue. Ain't from these parts, but," he pointed upwards, where a sign held the general direction of the food court, "I can read, up the stairs and there we'll be."
An escalator was ahead, they'd be wasting his cash on food in only moments.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] back off motherfucker DO YOU THINK I'M STUCK UP CAUSE I'M ALWAYS PICKING FIGHTS? [attr="class","itokaytext"]Erin jammed her hands in her pockets as they began walking, glancing around at the surrounding sites instead of paying attention to what her companions were doing. She, obviously, wasn't from Beacon Hills, and had never actually been to the mall before now, so there was a lot to take in- a girl needed to know what shops she had easy access too. The other reason she decided against acknowledging the other pair was because she didn't really want to risk putting her sister in a bad mood. If Erin was a bitch for no reason she knew it would piss Jade off, and she didn't really want to have to deal with a pissed off Jade for the rest of the day, so she let her twin have some fun and tried not to interfere. Even if she didn't end up with a friend here, she wanted Jade to.
She caught a whiff of something, though, and it smelled good, which made her stomach give an involuntary growl and made her turn her attention back to Ashton and Jade just to hear that a) he did know where the food court was, and b) they were nearly there. Ashton had never made her feel so happy. "Music to my ears. I don't know about you two, but i'm starving" She said, a hint of a cheeky smile coming to her lips involuntarily.

Oh, so he wasn't from here, that made sense, right? Of course it made sense... Jade was just losing her grasp on what 'sense' actually was whilst looking at him because he was so fine and she knew that that night she'd probably ask Erin what she thought of him and she'd roll her eyes, telling her to give it up, but hey, a girl could dream. Jade would dream.
The smell of food was more greasy than anything, probably because America seemed to be fueled by junk food, Jade wasn't complaining though, she was as much of a fan of a Big Mac as the next person (just as long as it had no onions and pickles). Jade smiled back at Erin, glad to see her perking up even if it was because of food. "I can always eat." Jade said idly as they stepped onto the escalator. Now, if Jade was being honest, she had a slight fear of escalators, the main worry being her getting sucked down into one when you step on and off of it. A stupid fear but nonetheless, Jade kept her gaze away from the moving contraption below her and on the signs of the different food options. There was so much to chose and Jade didn't know what she was hungry for.
Stepping off of the elevator, Jade turned to her companions, one hand shoved into the pockets of her pants, "what are you two in the mood for?"

Wow. That was a weirdly alluring sight. Erin’s smile, that is. It was odd, completely out of place among her ever present sour mood, but it looked utterly natural- for whatever reason. She should do that more, because dang. Just, yeah- teenage hormones fluttering with haste at how gorgeous it made her look. But that wasn’t the plan. Jade was. Focus, man- keep it in your pants for just a bit longer. There’d be no second chances if he messed this up now because he was fawning over a single moment where the bitterness had eased.
Three, two, one- he turned his gaze to Jade, lounging easily against the glass panel/handle thing that lined either side of the escalator. What were those even called? He’d have to Google it later. Snapping back to reality, he kept a wistful look painting his features, taking in the unsteady batting of her eyes. His best guess was that she was anxious about the whole ordeal- the obvious strain it put on them to not overflow with sass at one another to keep this civil- but there was also always the chance that the escalator itself made her uneasy. Chad’s little sister once fell at the bottom of one, nearly getting her fingers caught at the rake at the end- her father had just barely grabbed her in time. She has refused to use them since, so Ashton understood if Jade didn’t care for them much. Not that he could even call her out on it if he wanted- he had an irrational fear of vacuums. Stuck his fingers in the spinning columns when he was four out of curiosity, broke two, hasn’t touched one since. Freaking death contraptions.
Attention span of a goldfish, always getting lost in his head- what was he actually supposed to be doing right now? Right, Jade- ha. Doing Jade (oh my god, kid- focus). Shaking his head slightly to clear his rambling thoughts and knock a few strands of hair out of place from where they were resting on his forehead, Ashton stepped off the escalator and let his eyes roam. Food, such a promising, joy bringing thing. Bless it. He side-stepped ever so slightly so his shoulder brushed Jade’s, popping her personal bubble in an effort to speed his little plan up just a tad. Craning his neck some as he scanned the titles of the restaurants- McDonald’s, Arby’s, Jack-in-the-box, Chipotle, Taco Bell, and a few other’s he wasn’t too familiar with. He shifted his body ever so slightly, a gestured that had his chest rubbing along her side as he spoke with as much Texan charm as he could scrounge up, “I don’t know ‘bout y’all, but I could go for a burrito,” he raised his hand to wave at the general direction of Chipotle, “But if you two prefer something else, have at it.” Glancing down at Jade with a gleaming emerald eyes, he offered her the widest of grins (just a tad of cockiness tainting it), still yet to offer her an inch of her space. Erin was at the back of his mind, he could feel her (probably disapproving) gaze on his back at how he poured all of his attention on her twin- but it was purely self-defense. He wouldn’t get to have any fun if he blew his plan now.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] back off motherfucker DO YOU THINK I'M STUCK UP CAUSE I'M ALWAYS PICKING FIGHTS? [attr="class","itokaytext"]As the three teenagers mounted the escalator one after the other, Erin couldn't help but notice something. First off, it was hard for a girl not to feel the eyes of some greasy fuckboy on her when she smiled, so she knew that Ashton was watching when she showed her first hint of not being a raging bitch. To be honest, she wouldn't have cared that much, she knew it must have been a bit of a shock to see that she could actually smile, but then he turned his eyes to her sister. She was in no way jealous, of course not, but she didn't like the way he was looking at her, especially not after Erin knew he'd just been staring at her. It didn't seem right, and it ignited a fire in her blood. If there was one thing Erin was passionate about, it was keeping her sister safe, whether that was safe from supernatural creatures or just from boys that would break her heart. There wasn't anything particular she didn't like about the way he looked at Jade, but she just thought there was something off there.
Still, she didn't want to upset her twin, and she knew she could easily be over thinking things just because she hadn't warmed to Ashton yet, so she kept her mouth shut as she stepped off the escalator. "I don't really mind. Burrito's are fine with me" She replied with a shrug. Erin had never been a picky eater, what with the amount of travelling and rough sleeping she'd had to do in her short life she knew better then to be a picky about what was offered too her. It tended to be eat the crappy food or starve, and crappy food usually ended up being the better option. Looking over at her twin, she raised one eyebrow, wondering if she agreed with the decision or not. She was making an effort to look at Ashton any more, as she was afraid she'd see something she didn't want to see and not be able to control her tongue and end up upsetting everyone. Better to stick to just trying to make Jade happy- that's what she was good at.

IMMA WRITE THIS REPLY IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO
Pop and just like that Jade froze for a moment before snapping out of it. She was not going to let a cute- no, very attractive boy get under her skin so quickly even though he had an adorable little smile and just wanted to run her hands through his hair- no, jade, stop thinking about your hands in his hair and kissing, you'll only make the situation worse for yourself. But the touching didn't stop there- oh no, although Jade was now beginning to wonder if this was all purposeful, something to make her snap maybe. No, surely not.
Head bobbing along to what her twin and the-body-toucher were saying, "well, you're paying." Jade added quickly before being unable to say, "although it better not be bloody soggy, I'm not going to stand for that." Jade had experienced soggy burritos before and never wanted to deal with one again. Was it so hard to not have the lettuce dripping with water so much so that it made the wrap wet and sticky? It couldn't be that had, could it? Smiling when she caught Erin's eye, Jade did a little eyebrow dance in return. After spending many long car rides with only her sister as entertainment Jade had developed the, er, talent to keep herself occupied whilst also knowing it could make Erin laugh.
Jade looked up then though and found herself looking into two sparkling eyes that had something hidden in them, something like mischief but maybe more, maybe darker than that. In that moment Ashton reminded Jade of Puck from A Midsummers Night's dream so much so that she was now picturing him as a pixie dressed in only leaves. No, Jade abort that mental image, abort, [/i] abort.[/i] Turning away, partly to get than image out of her mind, Jade made a move as if to go to Chipotle, better settle this decision with action, right?

A completely scandalized look crossed Ashton's features, eyes widening and mouth falling into a confused 'o' shape as he gaped at Jade for a moment. "Sog- what? No, no, honey- Chipotle doesn't do soggy. This place, it's like heaven. Perfect burritos, just," a look of awe painted over his face as his gaze drifted to the line at the eatery, clearly passionate about the place, "Chipotle has the best Mexican food of any fast food place, hands down- trust me on that." He sent a wink her way to steer her away from how into the topic he was, not wanting to come off as some freak super into a burrito shop but rather just a guy trying to assure a pretty girl that it would not be money wasted (even if the money was his, but that doesn't matter). What does matter, though, is that the lunch rush would be making it's way into the mall any time now and Ashton really would prefer not having to wait forever in a line- even if it did mean spending more time with the girls. Lines were not his thing, waiting wasn't either really. Patience just wasn't a virtue in Ashton's book, which is probably why he set the palm of his hand to the small of Jade's back and eased her forward with a gentle press as he started to walk towards Chipotle.
He was going to wiggle his way into her heart one way or another, why wait?
"Let's get a move on before the herd comes in," was his verbal excuse for the touch, hand unwavering as he led her. Glancing back at Erin, who was a step or two behind them, he sent her a curious look, wondering how she was taking all the moves he was making onto her precious twin sister. His lips curled into a wide grin, another wink making it's way to the sour sister before his eyes once again found Jade's face as they weaved through the crowd. If he wasn't mistaken, there was a light blush on her cheeks, and he loved it- this was all working. Doing a little victory dance inside his head, he let his thumb drag back and forth along her clothed skin, voice pitched low as he asked, "So where was it that you got this 'soggy burrito'?"

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] back off motherfucker DO YOU THINK I'M STUCK UP CAUSE I'M ALWAYS PICKING FIGHTS? [attr="class","itokaytext"]Erin was a few paces behind the wannabe love birds, but kept a keen eye on them, while also trying not to look at Ashton too much. Honestly, she felt a little bit like an over protective parent. She knew Jade would probably hate her for it, but oh well- she was just doing her best to be a good sister. She watched Ashton place his hand on Jade's back and felt something twist in her stomach. Some kind of protective anger flaring inside her again, one she wasn't actually that used too, surprisingly. She'd never had to feel the need to protect Jade from a boy, but for some reason she felt that Ashton could be bad news. That's why when he looked back at her, a grin on his lips and a wink following quickly all she could think was; Oh. Hell. No. She wasn't letting him carry on like this.
She did a half skip thing, so she was at her twins side in a second and looped her arm through the other girls. Since she moved so quick it pushed Jade forward a bit, meaning Ashton's hand was no longer in contact with Jade's back, and Erin was a little calmer. "Just some cheep roadside food place, we were travelling, and it was disgusting" Erin answered for her sister, her protective instinct almost fully kicked in. At least to Jade it might look like she was actually trying to be civil and talk to this guy, which was rare. Besides, she knew the answer to his question right away- unfortunately she did remember that disappointment filled wrap very, very well. There wasn't many things that could lift or crush your spirit in an instant, but food was one of them, or it was in Erin's book anyway. So that's why, when the starving sisters had had their hopes dashed by a soggy, gross burrito when all they wanted was something to ease their hardships in that moment, it stuck with her.
Okay, maybe she was being a bit dramatic. But she was very passionate about food.

Okay, so, Ashton apparently had some weird Chipotle fetish. Better than a foot fetish though. That was not the kind of thing you wanted to be thinking about before you ate though, so Jade instead focused on the slowly growing amount of people heading for food. The line for Subway was already unreasonably long- they're just sandwiches people, you can make them at home easily.
That was definitely a hand on her back and it most certainly belonged to Ashton. Okay, Jade, be cool, don't panic or anything, he's just keen to eat, right? That did make sense and when he spoke, Jade knew she'd been right, she was over analyzing things... as always. Still, the warmth radiating from Ashton's palm was getting to her and across her cheeks she could feel them warm. Oh god, she was blushing. She had the self-control of a 14 year old boy, honestly. Ducking her head down, Jade watched her shoes for a moment although her attention was thrown very quickly by an incoming, her sister. Man, you look down for one second because Mr turned-on-by-Chipotle was rubbing your back and your twin appears by your side out of nowhere. Okay, not nowhere, but Jade hadn't been prepared for her sudden appearance.
Jade had been spurred forward as her arm, instinctively looped around Erin's arm. Before Jade could answer, Erin had done it for her, shooting her sister a questioning glance, Jade wondered if this had been bought on by Erin feeling left out or if Erin had other motives. "It was more than disgusting it was fucking gross." Jade added quickly, a smile crossing her face which she shared with Erin, she knew how she'd felt about that burrito- crushed quite frankly. Jade felt bad for bringing it up as the memory was pretty scarring.
Reaching the Chipotle counter, Jade came to a stop, pulling herself away from Erin and crossing her arms over her chest. "So.. what are you guys gonna have?"

Rude. So very, very, very rude and Ashton couldn't stop his face from twisting into a blend between irritation and confusion. One second his palm was pressed gently against Jade's back, the gesture seemingly innocent as he led her towards Chipotle, and the next the evil twin was towing the girl away and out of his reach. His emerald irises grew to slits as he squinted at the girl, lips pursed as he glared at their backs. He knew this wouldn't be exactly easy, but if Erin would be hawking over Jade the entire time and not even giving him a chance to prove he was worth their time (which he totally was, just wait and see) then what was the point of even bothering with this mess? Scoffing as he rolled his eyes, Ashton threw his arms over his chest and pouted- a complete child at times like this when it came to him not getting what he wanted.
It's not like they could even see him acting childish as they marched ahead of him, so there was no point in fretting that they'd poke fun at his sagging lips.
Wiping the look of his face as they came upon the line at the built-in eatery, all he offered to their story about the forsaken burrito was a soft grunt and lazy glance their way before his attention was back at the line of ingredients beyond the pane of glass before them. He knew acting like this wouldn't get him anywhere- unless him showing his 'hurt' at being parted from Jade won him pity points from the girl herself and her had her back in his arms trying to fix it while she threw glares at her sibling.
But even Ashton knew that was completely unrealistic. The pair would probably bask in the silence he was offering for the time being.
With a decent amount of space between him and the girls (just to prove a point to Erin that, yes, he did understand how to keep his hands to himself), Ashton let his gaze linger on the food for just a moment longer before offering Jade a small smile and replying with, "Just a steak burrito, you?" They'd overhear the details of his order when they actually ordered, so he didn't feel the need in spilling now.
The line shifted forward, leaving about three people between them and ordering.

Eyeing the boxes full of a variety of things: cheese, peppers, lettuce, a multitude of other ingredients that were sure to please someone, Jade wondered what to have. Normally her choice of food was relatively plain, in fact, it was always plain- bland food was grand food in her opinion. So it didn't take her long to decide.
Catching Ashton's smile, Jade hoped that this was the end of his sulk because yes, she had noticed and no, she wasn't a fan of it. "Oh, the usual, beans and cheese." Tipping her head to the side as a smile painted its way across her lips. Jade was happy with her decision, thankfully, the classic beans and cheese combination had never let her down. Shifting further down the line Jade's fingers drummed against her thighs before she looked back at Erin, Jade could probably guess what her twin would have but she asked again, "Erin, what are you up for?"
There were only two people in front of them now, although the woman currently ordering was making a fuss of her order wanting 3 squirts of this and two scoops of this, like girl, this isn't Starbucks.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] back off motherfucker DO YOU THINK I'M STUCK UP CAUSE I'M ALWAYS PICKING FIGHTS? [attr="class","itokaytext"]"I think disgusting is a stronger word then fucking gross, but sure" Erin replied to her twin with a cheeky smirk, letting her arm fall away from her sisters when it was obvious from Ashton's little sulk that he'd understood what Erin's motives were and he probably wouldn't try again.
Eventually they joined the queue, and it was obvious the staff were already mentally and physically preping for the lunch time rush, which was obviously just starting too kick off. She glanced over all the toppings that were spread out appealingly, even though she already knew what she was going to get, because it was what she always got- oh, of course Ashton wanted that too. She was almost tempted to change her order, because she really was that bitter, but decided she really couldn't be arsed to think up something new. She glanced at Jade to see if she would go for her usual bean and cheese burrito or go for something more adventurous. She doubted her twin would, though, as she tended to just stick to her plain food (which Erin didn't agree with, but y'know), and she was correct. She smiled at Jade, just kind of out of habit and because she'd known what she'd go for, then realised it was her turn to speak. "Oh, just a steak burrito too" She said, her eyes flashing to Ashton and almost daring him to say something about their same order.

It almost slipped off his tongue. So close, just at the tip, and for once in his life time Ashton was able to hold it in and not cockily spill out ‘oh, I’ll spice up your life’ after Jade’s plain order- figuring it meant that the majority of her choices were rather bland. He did an internal victory dance, externally sighing and rolling his eyes to himself because, God, is he really that cheesy? (Yeah, he really is, just wait.)
Glancing between the two as they began to speak again, he was glad they hadn’t caught his internal battle- wouldn’t that just be fun to explain: ‘No, I wasn’t rolling my eyes at you. I was just about to say something stupid- and hey, you should be glad I didn’t Erin, chill. What? Do you need any help getting that stick out of your-‘ well, it’d go something along those lines and it’s better that it doesn’t happen, period.
He’s already mostly on their bad sides, and fully closing that door won’t do any good. He’ll just have to work on keeping his mouth shut.
Ha, oops. “Aw, Erin- we have similar tastes and chemistry together! Isn’t that just a match made in heaven?” Ashton’s stupidly long eyelashes batted slowly at her as he pressed his palms to his heart, a loud laugh cracking the air between them as he dropped the act and slowly scooted closer to Jade, not wanting her getting the wrong idea with him taking jabs at Erin. Flirting? Nah, he’s just a dick and poking fun.
Risking it, he threw his arm around Jade’s shoulder and lead her the few steps forward to order, seeing as it was their turn finally. Giving her a light squeeze, he kept his voice low, as if just for her, as he leaned in, letting his lips brush the shell of her ear and whispered, “Why don’t you go first, yeah? Order extra beans or cheese or whatever your heart desires.” He sent a wink her way before letting his eyes scan the offered condiments, trying to figure out if they were fresh or just a waste of time to ask for.

Yep, Jade had been right. When Erin liked something it took a lot to make her avoid it. Smiling back at her sister it occurred to her that this was all instinct, most of the way she acted around Erin was not thought through, it just happened with ease. What kind of person would Jade be without Erin? She doubted she recognise herself.
Her attention was cast to the ground as Ashton spoke to Erin. Of course he'd be tempted by her, he'd be stupid not to. Erin was beautiful and powerful, a lorikeet in a sky full of sparrows. Next to her twin, Jade was a sparrow, away from her maybe she scraped by being a robin.Still, it would appear Ashton was cat, tempted by any bird her could catch. Or at least that's how Jade could see him at this point, no one else was this eager, this keen so quickly. Still, when he moved towards her, she didn't move away. She'd be lying if she said she didn't like him.
Wow, that arm action, Jade jumped slightly, she needed to start playing complete and utter attention to what he was doing. He kept getting the better of her, the upper hand way too much. It was their turn to order which Jade was grateful for, her hunger had increased rapidly whilst waiting in line; it wouldn't be long before she became hangry. The girl'd been about to move away from Ashton when his lips dropped to her ear, putting a stop to any train of thought in her brain. Had anyone ever whispered in her ear like that before? No, surely not. The conversation wasn't exactly sexy it was about cheese and beans for goodness sake. Nonetheless, she took a moment to pull herself together. Clearing her throat before speaking, Jade was still aware of the fact that it sounded vaguely squeaky, "um, hi, yeah. I'd like a cheese and bean burrito..." Jade paused for a moment, glancing at Ashton before adding, "with extra cheese." Girl liked her cheese.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] back off motherfucker DO YOU THINK I'M STUCK UP CAUSE I'M ALWAYS PICKING FIGHTS? [attr="class","itokaytext"]Erin caught the smile that Jade had aimed in her direction, and smiled back at her. In this situation Erin was honestly a bit torn about who she was meant to be- she was being a bitch to Ashton, but she could never keep this kind of act up while talking to her sister. Well, she could if Jade had done something like eat the last biscuit even though she knew they were Erin's favourite, but that was another story for another day.
Of course, Ashton had to speak again and ruin the little bit of good mood she had been having. "You literally make me want to throw up" She said, looking him dead in the eye, and despite the serious tone she said it in she did manage to make it sound somewhat jokey. She wasn't an utter bitch all the time after all, and she felt like what he said didn't call for a proper come back. Gritting her teeth slightly, she wished she had actually said something when Ashton threw his arm around Jade's shoulder and moved her forward. Again, she was torn between being happy for her sister, because she obviously liked him, and being protective over her, because he was obviously a dick. Still, she decided she'd let them have this moment because she had completely taken the last one away from Jade and a little part of her felt bad.
