With Abby out of the picture, Vic couldn't stop herself from getting caught up in the hunt again. She'd connected with a few hunters in town, learning who the werewolves were and which one of them shouldn't be alive. Today was her first hunt in months, and she couldn't get enough of it. The girl's name was Hannah, and she'd apparently killed months ago, and yet no one did anything about it. Vic had tried to understand why this was, but she came to the conclusion that it was better not to ask. Just get the job done. That was all she wanted to do. And she was doing a pretty damn good job at it until the wolf ran into the woods, obviously chasing after a scent that wasn't hers.
Vic lost the beast for a moment, trying to relocate it simply by the sound of the rustling leaves and heavy breathing. "Oh come on," she teased, trying to get the animal to come back to her. "Playing Hide and Seek now, are we?" Vic wasn't sure what the thing was chasing, but it couldn't be good, whatever it was.

Ellie had Neenah in the forest for a hour now. She couldn't seem to find her brother. "Blake?! Blake?!" She called out. Ellie had the forest. There were so many creepy bugs, and snakes. They could all attack her, and no one would even care. Ellie heard some rustling of the leaves, and turned her head to look at the way it came from.
"Blake this isn't funny," Ellie said. Her voice sounded confident but all the confidence was gone. She figured that Blake new she hated the forest and was just playing a trick on her. She had no idea that it was actually a werewolf.

Vic heard a girl's voice, and everything clicked in her head. "Shit," she muttered to herself. She ran towards the voice, trying to get to the werewolf before it got to the other girl. But she soon found that she was too late. The wolf stood right between Vic and the girl, but Vic was too shocked for a moment to do anything. "Ellie?" she said, confused as to why the girl was in the middle of the forest. But now was not the time to be asking questions. "Okay, listen to me carefully," she said slowly, the wolf carefully glancing between the two of them. "I'm gonna shoot at this thing, and you are going to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction, alright?" Vic had been in this situation before, and all she could hope was that the wolf wouldn't run towards Ellie.
"One." Vic grasped her gun firmly, holding it to her side. "Two." She held it up, the wolf immediately recognizing it as a weapon, but still none of them moved. "Three." Bang. Vic couldn't get a shot into the thing's heart due to it's position, but she got pretty damn close. But the wolf didn't do what she wanted it to, and it ran straight at Ellie. That's what she got for assuming these things were actually intelligent. "Run!" she screamed at Ellie, but she didn't think Ellie would be able to outrun it.

Ellie was almost paralyzed with fear. That was until she noticed that the werewolf was just bleeding and Vic told her to run. Ellie ran as fast as she could, but it was no use considering this thing was pissed. Ellie decided to try a new tactic she turned randomly, and tried to hide behind a few trees the werewolf was still after her.
Out of ideas Ellie did something really stupid and threw a stick. "Well apparently wolves don't chase after sticks." She grabbed a branch and threw it at its head, and then started running again. She really hoped that Vic would know what to do.

Vic just rolled her eyes when Ellie tried to throw the stick. "Hey asshole!" she yelled at the wolf. "I'm the one you're mad at, no need to take it out on this idiot." The wolf turned around and growled at her, and Vic finally got a clear enough shot to shoot the thing right in the chest. With a loud yell followed by a pathetic whimper, the wolf collapsed to the ground, and Vic hunched over slightly as she caught her breath. "What the hell, Ellie?!" she yelled at the girl, but she wasn't really angry at her. She was only angry because she didn't understand why someone who knew how dangerous the woods could be would put themselves in harms way.

Ellie was ashamed of how happy she was that Vic killed it. She leaned against a tree trying to catch her breath. "What?!" She asked breathlessly. She didn't understand why Vic was so pissed at her. "I-don't workout enough to be running like this," and she was just wearing flats-which were not running shoes.
Ellie was glad that Vic was there. She didn't know what she would've done if Vic wasn't there.

Vic had a water bottle hooked onto her belt, and she tossed it at Ellie. "Here," she said. "What the hell are you doing in the middle of the woods?" Vic knew that Ellie didn't believe in killing werewolves, but who knows, maybe being attacked by one would make her realize that they actually are dangerous. "I'm sorry, I'm being insensitive. Are you okay?" she asked her, running a hand through her sweaty hair.

"My brother sometimes runs in here, so I was checking to see if he was here or at his boyfriends because fucking teenagers don't answer their fucking phones and my brother thinks he's invincible," Ellie said. She gratefully took the water bottle and drank out of it. She looked back over at Vic.
"Yeah I'm fine. Who knew werewolves don't chase sticks," Ellie said trying to lighten the mood. She refused to look at the werewolf girl. She didn't want to know if he knew the girl or not.

Vic just exhaled sharply, trying not to be too mad at her. "Yeah, well he's going to be much better off than you are in a fight with a werewolf," she said, trying not to sound too condescending. Vic glanced down at the dead werewolf, she sighed. "I suppose you don't want to give me a hand with it, huh?" Vic never let herself call a rogue werewolf "he" or "she". They weren't people. They were killers. And they deserved to be treated that way.

"I don't want to, Ellie said. She clearly was refusing to even look at it. "Not every werewolf would do that, I'm just saying," Ellie said quietly. She didn't think her brother was even capable of doing that. Sure maybe Erik, Erik probably had already killed someone. She felt sick to her stomach even thinking about that kind of stuff.

Vic chuckled slightly as she knelt down to pick up the body. "Sure," she said. "I'm sure there's a lot of them that, in their human form, wouldn't be able to. But the truth is, once they lose control and turn, they aren't human anymore. They're an animal, and they're out to kill. Every werewolf is capable of it. Every damn one of them." Vic had been around a lot of people with the same beliefs as Ellie, and they drove her nuts. She never understood how someone could be attacked by a werewolf and not understand how dangerous they were. "You think this girl was a viscous murderer?" Vic asked her. "She was a fourteen year old girl who got in the way of the wrong person. She had no idea what she was doing, but she's killed three people. So if you think character has anything to do with it, you're wrong." Vic finally got the girl over her shoulder and turned to carry her deeper in the woods. "Feel free to join me, if you'd like. If not, you should be getting home. It's getting dark." Vic then just started walking into the woods without another word.

Ellie began to follow Vic through the woods. "But do you just kill any wolf you see even if their eyes are yellow? You still kill them?" Ellie asked. Suddenly she was fearing for her brother's safety. She wrapped her arms around herself as she watched Vic carry the body. She wondered if she knew the girl when she was younger. She wasn't able to tell, because she didn't have a good look at the girl.

Vic rolled her eyes. "You honestly don't know anything, do you?" she said. "Of course I don't. We hunt by a code, and I intend to always stick by that code." Vic was annoyed that Ellie seemed to be villainizing her, but she honestly just wanted the girl to see that she wasn't the enemy. Vic didn't deny that she was a murderer, but she never murdered anyone innocent. That was the difference between a hunter and a werewolf.

Ellie just continued to follow Vic. "Does everyone?" Ellie asked suddenly. She knew there were hunters, but honestly she didn't know much about them. She just knew about the supernatural. She just refused to believe some things, even though they were obviously true. Then again, months ago she would've laughed if you told her this was real.

Vic raised an eyebrow at her. "Everyone I've met does," she said. Vic had no idea that the hunters in Beacon Hills weren't following the code. To her, it looked like they weren't hunting at all. There were so many werewolves that should have been killed, she never would have suspected that they were killing innocent werewolves, considering they weren't killing the guilty ones. Of course she knew there were hunters that didn't follow the code, but she had never actually come across any.
They got far enough into the woods that Vic didn't think anyone would be looking for the body, and if they were, they wouldn't be able to trace it back to her. There was a small lake forming at the bottom of a ditch, and Vic just decided it was easier to throw the body down. And so she did, without a second thought. "Done," she said, turning back to Ellie.
