| Who knew that Disney could lead to so much tension? Iris really thought the whole thing had been thrown completely out of proportion, but then again there was apparently a lot of background stuff that she just hadn't been around long enough to know about. All she really could do was go along with everything that had happened and regret it, not that she really had much to regret- it wasn't like she had actually done anything- but for some reason she felt like she had really just added unnecessary fuel to the fire. It was way to late to go back and change it now, though. A couple of days had passed since the initial Disney world incident, but there was still a kind of awkward tension over the group. She couldn't be sure if any apologises or other arguments had gone in private chats and talks since then, and no one tended to bother to tell her what was going on, so she was just wondering through all her friendships aimlessly and tentatively, never knowing if she was going to say something wrong and/or upset someone. Everyone was on needles, but then again that was pretty normal. Still, now she was on her way to meet up with Jasper, hoping he might be able to clear up some of what had been going on. Even if he wasn't part of the drama he usually knew, in detail, what was going on. She wandered up to his house, where she'd agreed to meet, him, pulling the earbuds out of her ears before getting the door and ringing the buzzer, rolling up her earphones as she waited. words: 284 |

it's kind of a funny story* * * * * Jasper had never been very good at talking about things, feelings or anything, really. He had a horrible habit of just switching off when it came to feelings, and it'd shown in the argument with Skylar earlier that week. How half of it had even happened, he didn't actually know. He was merely trying to express the fact he didn't want to go to fucking Disney World, or wherever. The tiny disagreement had quickly turned into a bitchy argument between he and Skylar, because clearly Iris wasn't going to be invited to the trip. He'd already been moody over the whole ordeal, but not inviting someone just seemed plain unfair and, even if Iris didn't want to go, an invitation would've sufficed. He and Sky had sorted the earlier issues out earlier that week - most of the issues, anyway, and they were trying their best to sort it out. It was all they could do, really. That only left Iris to explain to, and he wasn't actually sure how to go about that. Did he apologise? Did he even have anything to apologise for? He certainly didn't think so, but he did also have a lot of explaining to do. A lot of things that were unsaid he knew made little sense to Iris, and it was almost as if they were back to square one when it came to the whole "maybe dating" thing, but he was hoping to fix that... Maybe. So he'd invited her round, making a conscious effort to be the first to open the door, because he knew Alfie had a habit of trying to intercept every single person that entered the house. Opening the door with a lazy grin, he slipped outside and pulled the door shut behind him, not quite sure where he was going when the words, "do you want to see the other side of this door - I mean - do you want to come in?" It was a stupid joke, he knew that, and yet he couldn't help but smile to himself anyway, one eyebrow raised effortlessly. * * *

| Glancing up at the door when it opened, Iris was actually pretty surprised to see Jasper standing there. Usually, Alfie was always there to open the door. She hadn't yet worked out why he always did that, why he was so eager to see who was on the other side of the door, but she had no intention of asking and didn't really care about the answer. She smiled up at Jasper, taking a quick step back to give him room to step out of the house and close the door. She had no idea what they were doing today, so really all she could do was just follow Jaspers lead. She could help but roll her eyes when he spoke, her mind flashing back to months ago when they'd bumped into each other on that run. It was weird to think that if they hadn't bumped into each other back then there was a high chance that she could still find him annoying and dislike him. She wished he hadn't brought up that line though, it was just an embarrassing memory. She grinned back at him, though, and nodded "Yeah, sure" She replied, it was unfortunate that she couldn't remember what he'd replied with when she'd first said that, but she was sure he wouldn't mind. words: 224 |
