Lia was walking around on the ledge of the bridge. Below it was a lake but it'd still hurt if she fell but Lia had awesome balance.
Lia had a lot on her mind and normally no one went down this bridge. She was walking back and forth on it thinking about things. He mind was running wild and she couldn't help it. Here on the edge she always felt free with the wind blowing in her face and the sound of the water moving. It was relaxing.

Pierce had run away from his family and the rest his pack after a fall out with the alpha, better known as his father. After three or four days of hitchhiking, he found himself in Beacon Hills. He didn't have any place to stay, and he had run out of money already, but he figured that this was a small enough town that he could probably settle down quite easily. As far as werewolves went, Pierce didn't know if there were any here or not, and it wasn't like it was necessarily easy to find out.
But for now Pierce was stuck wandering, hoping to find a comfy park bench to sleep on for the night. He found himself near a bridge, and he found a girl walking on the edge. He didn't want to frighten her, since that probably wouldn't end well, so he walked forward until he was ahead of her and she knew he was there. "Thinking of jumping?" he asked, since in his mind, that was the only reason someone would be on the edge of a bridge.

Lia looked over at the person and smiled a little. "No, I uh I sometimes walk on here." Lia didn't recognize this guy and Beacon wasn't exactly big. Lia jumped down. "Are you new here?" Lia asked.

Pierce shrugged. "I suppose so," he said. "I'm Pierce. And you are?" Pierce wasn't really expecting this girl to be too social, since Pierce didn't exactly give off a very welcoming appearance. His clothes were filthy, he probably smelled like something dead, and his hair was dirtied and colored bright red. He gave of the sense of a mentally damaged clown to most, but who knew, this girl might be able to look past that.

"Lia." Lia so as with a smile. She didn't tend to judge by what they look like or sound like. "So where are you from?" Lia asked. This guy didn't seem like he had very many friends.

Pierce gave the girl a crooked smile, pleasantly surprised by her hospitality. "Nevada," he said. "Vegas, technically, but not the Vegas you're thinking of. I lived almost an hour from any of the casinos and hotels and shit." Pierce was a much friendlier person on the inside than he appeared on the outside. He was cooky, but he still had a pretty good heart.

"I didn't know Vegas had another side." Lia said with a small laugh. "Well welcome to beacon." Lia said with a smile. She sat down on edge of the bridge. "I know this sounds mean but do you have a place to stay tonight you look like you haven't slept in awhile."

Pierce chuckled a little. "It's that obvious?" he said, sounding slightly embarassed. He wasn't really embarrassed, but Pierce had a habit of playing himself a certain way to get what he wanted. It usually wasn't intentional though, it was just part of who he was.

Lia smiled a little still trying to be kind. "There's a motel down the street if you tell them Lia sent you then they'll give you a free room for the night or however long you need it." Lia said. Lia did a lot for the people at that motel. The owners were wolf and Lia helped them a lot so the rare times that Lia asked for favors they normally did them for her.

Pierce raised an eyebrow at her. "Seriously?" he asked, more suspicious than anything. "Thanks." This girl was definitely a bit too naive, but Pierce didn't care. She was being nice to him and no one else really was.

Lia shrugged,"I do stuff for them a lot they never mind doing me a favor." Lia said. "So what brings you over to beacon hills? " Lia asked.

Pierce sighed. "I'm attempting to start over. Well, not start over because that's impossible, but start a life someplace new," he explained. He was sure that he'd get the 'you shouldn't run away' speech, but it didn't matter because nothing could change his mind.

"Why would you run away from your life?" Lia asked curiously. Lia never understood why people ran from problems. Them again Lia ' s only major problem wa sher break up with her ex.

Pierce bit his lip, contemplating how much of the truth he was going to tell. "My father was abusive," he said. "My mom was a good mom, I guess, but she never really paid much attention to me. I'm the third oldest of ten kids, so it's easy to forget about me. I wanted to stay with my family and try to fix things, but eventually I just snapped and gave up." It wasn't a lie, though there was a lot more to it than that.

"Oh." Li said. She wasn't sure what to say or how to respond to that. "I'm the youngest of three and I thought my family was huge." Lia said.
