In Evans opinion there was no better way to spend valentines day then by going out, getting drunk, and possibly ending up in someone else's bed. Of course, that was only when you were single, and Evans was very single yet again this year. So, there she was, dressed in her dark dress, pushing through the crowds of people who had had the same idea as her. Finally she made it to the bar, and it wasn't long before she was a little tipsy and ready to dance and mingle. Making her way back through the crowd and to where most of the dancing was taking place, Evans joined in with them, letting her body move vaguely to the music as the bare skin on her arms and legs brushed against other people. Her eyes scanned around the various people, wondering if she'd end up talking to any of them this evening. She knew it was likely she would, but she just needed to decide who to approach, or wait and see if anyone would approach her.

Dancing. It was by far his favorite thing to do. Wherever he went, no matter the occasion, the man was always rocking from side to side to an unheard rhythm. It soothed him- calmed his soul and made his heart grin against his chest. So naturally, being alone on the day of love, Beckham took to the club- a scene he was all too familiar with. In the shadows of throbbing bodies and rocking beats, he dropped his childish persona and became king of the night. After dropping off roses to his mother (since his father skipped out when he was barely three and left him to be the man of the house), checking in on Cooper, his younger half brother (the outcome of a heartbroken one night stand), to make sure that he was holding up with school and all, and then finally crashing in on his fraternal twin, bringing her a gallon of ice cream and a bundle of chocolates to sooth her broken heart (her boyfriend found it fit to break up with her on Valentine's day, of all days)- did Beck find it fit to treat himself. He dressed himself in a suit of all things, figuring the least he could do was at least dress up for the holiday. See, love definitely was not the Robinson forte. His mother lost her husband to a secretary and didn't have the heart to try again after his brother was born, Lilith wasn't capable of holding down a man since she befriended them more than became a lover, Cooper was hopeless with socializing let alone managing a girlfriend, and females had an uncanny habit of cheating on Beck himself. As much as they radiated kindness and poured their hearts out to others, the family just had no luck finding love. So tonight? The man wasn't looking for love so much as just having a good time- and he'd try his hardest to do just that. Cocking his head from side to side, he scanned the crowd. His lips curled into a half smirk, hazel eyes dim in the low lights of the club. The usual mess of chesnut curls atop his head was strangely calm, and tamed- an odd look for him. Normally, he was the essence of joy and energy, but once he filed into the slim doors of Jungle Dance Club, he became someone new. Gentle moving and wickedly handsome. He earned a few looks from girls, to which he returned a grin, but nothing more. He was here for fun, and they didn't look the type to be so. Pushing through the crowd, Beck tried desperately to avoid eye contact with people he knew- which was basically everyone considering he'd grown up here his whole life. Deciding to not make a pit stop at the bar, he headed straight to the dance floor where the beat swam through his veins and he started swaying his body against a attractive blonde. He didn't pay no mind to her, for his eyes caught the electric blue of a girl rocking to her own tune, ignoring the men around her. Trying to catch her eye, Beck found himself intrigued. He was fairly certain he knew who she was, the girl at the vet. He took his dog, Gryphon, there often, but he didn't know her other than that- just the desk girl. Biting down on his lower lip, he backed off the girl he was dancing with and smirked at the brunette, set on talking to her. Getting her into his bed wasn't his main priority right now. Beckham just wanted to make sure she had as much fun as he did tonight- but first, he needed to catch her eye and agree to a dance. Easier said than done.

It was just as Evans thought- men were already making their way over to her, their drunken, hopeful minds persuading them they actually had a chance with a girl like her. Of course, they didn’t have a chance with Evans, she’d already decided they were too clingy or eger, they just really weren’t her type. The guys obviously thought they were being subtle about it, when in reality she could see right through them, and they were being far from subtle. She had always knew she was pretty, and that she naturally had a good body, so she had become used to unwanted advances at a young age, and had become pretty skilled at getting away from them. So, she moved away from them slowly, pretending like she hadn’t seen them at all in the few moments she had been there. She let her body flow with the other people around her, until she stopped, and carried on dancing again, but then the cycle continued and she was off again. She’d practically circled the whole dance floor in this pattern before she laid eyes on someone she might actually be willing to dance with. Evans was totally not picky. He was dancing with your average, pretty blonde girl, but he didn’t really seem content with her, especially when his eyes when his eyes drifted over to Evans. She watched him and the other girl for a moment, recognising him briefly as one of the people who came into the clinic every now and again. She watched him dance for a couple more moments before he left the other girl and smirked over at her. She didn’t return his slight advance right away, instead just focused her harsh eyes on his features for a moment. Then, her lips turned upwards, into a cheeky grin, and she made her way over.
