Blake quickly mimicked Braydon's actions, stripping off his pants and boxers before slipping into the shower, letting hot water sting the back of his head as he pulled Braydon closer to him again, one hand rubbing through his quickly soaking hair. He immediately felt cleaner, like he could physically feel all the dirt of the past few days washing down the plug hole, even if he wasn't actually that dirty, either. He'd showered that morning, truthfully, but since then so much had happened, it almost felt like a completely new day - and given the time; it almost was. The had previous in his hair then joined the other to wrap around Brayon's waist, head resting almost lazily against the bare chest as his eyes slid shut for s minute, trying to recall - his eyes flung open, and he looked back up at Braydon quickly. "It wasn't a human." Was all he managed. "It wasn't a fucking human."

Braydon began to wash off him and Blake. But once blake laid his head on him braydon stopped and wrapped an arm around Blake. "So it was an animal?" Braydon asked softly. He didnt know why Blake was freaking out so much about seeing an an animal. He was in a forest of courae there were animals there.

Blake just nodded, unable to stop feeling like Braydon thought he was being a bit ridiculous. After all, he was scared of an animal, that was in the woods. There were hundreds of animals in there, from tiny rabbits to all the different varieties of bird, not to mention all the insects. And yet Blake was terrified, because of something he wasn't even sure if he'd seen. Wow. Still, if Braydon was willing to go along with it for him this far, he doubted that he'd tell him he was lying if he went any further, right? Or, was the probability that Blake was just seeing things a little too high for that? He guessed it was time to find out. "It was - it was a big animal?" he tried, looking up at Braydon now, brow furrowed slightly as he tried to explain, "like, like a wolf maybe?" His eyes squinted now, like he was actually trying to envision the beast again, even if he was fairly sure the thing had been scarred into his memories. "And I thought it bit me, but..." he trailed off, glancing down at his side again, where no trace of a bite mark remained. Wounds didn't just disappear, and so clearly the whole thing was in his head. He was clearly going insane; that was the only explanation.

Braydon pursed his lips. He though Blake was h imagining things again so he didn't know what to think. "Maybe.." Braydon was really trying to be nice. He didn't want to upset Blake. "Maybe..you imagined it, " Braydon said really quietly. He didn't want to upset Blake but he felt like he had.

The next four words out of Braydon's mouth were exactly what Blake expected them to be, a mess of doubt and worry coating the words so heavily that Blake almost couldn't take it. Even Braydon didn't trust what he said anymore, what did that say about who he'd become? Was he really that much of a mess, that anything he said could so easily be taken as a 'maybe you imagined it. Sure, the cancer had stripped a lot away from him - it'd stolen his perkiness, his coordination, his ability to see further than three weeks into the future, but it'd also stolen his reliableness, and that was something he wouldn't be able to get over. He never thought that literally losing his mind would cost so much.
"Yeah, maybe I did," he finally agreed, deciding not to argue with Braydon about this one. He was too exhausted, and in truth, he knew Braydon was right. He must've imagined it. There was no other way. Closing his eyes for a brief second, the world span around him, and he nearly lost his balance, his fingers instinctively gripping Braydon like some sort of anchor. Sniffing, he bit down on his own lip before finally adding in a murmur,"...I'm so fucking sorry for all of this, y'know."

"Why are you apologizing? " Braydon asked. He pulled away from Blake so that he could watch the soap out of his hair. "You shouldn't be sorry. It's not your fault. It's not like you asked for it," braydon said quietly.
