"Sammy drools in his sleep- age is just a number, hon', it all depends on how much you salivate," Teddy teased, hands relaxed against the wheel as he glanced ahead into the nearing distance before back at her. Denny's was approaching, and they'd be pulled into the parking lot in under three minutes if he could catch the traffic light on green. Not a soul around, but that red flash insisted that he wait anyways.
Not bothering to think about it until the situation arrived, he just cocked a brow of his own and spoke in a smooth tone, not allowing himself to dread on his slip up, "Talent of mine, much like helping out people in need." Aka 'stop pushing your luck or you won't be getting dinner tonight, kid'.

Louly suddenly felt a little shabby for Denny's. It wasn't like she was unclean, she just wanted a shower. But that'd have to wait, all things considered. "Why do you watch your brother sleep?" She asked offhandedly, joking but trying not to quirk a grin. She looked over at him and finally smiled. The smile turned into laughter quickly.
"Thanks." She said with a pointed tone, suddenly growing stern.

"Well," Teddy said with a soft chuckle, the topic of his brother clearly something he enjoyed. Normally he was closed off on his family, but with Sam he couldn't help but talk. With the giant gone all the time, he needed to do something to remember him. "Back in my glory days," he paused, flashing her a wicked smirk as if it was so long ago that he'd done this but it really wasn't too far back, "I'd sneak in there at night and do all the pranks you could dream of. Hand in warm water, itching powder in the sheets. You name it, I did it to torture the boy." His smile fell with a sigh, regret masking his words as he concluded, "He didn't like it much, and it was just added to the numbering reasons of why he left."
Shrugging it off, he brushed down her 'thanks' and just pulled into the parking lot. Stationing the car right up front, he was glad the place was open this late. "Ready?" He asked gently, soft truly for the first time since meeting.
Teddy wasn't really a bad guy, it just took time to see that.

Louly wished she had a stick of gum to gnaw on to fill the frequent, brief gaps of silence. She took to gnawing on the inside of her cheek instead. "I have a brother too. But like... we never did that stuff because of my parents. I sure would've liked it, though, even if I was on the shit end," She enjoyed listening to his tale from his alleged 'glory days.' She rested her hand on the door handle, for once not out of fear of having to duck and roll in case a gun was pulled or she was assaulted.
It was comfortable. Normal, even. "Hell yeah I'm ready for a good pancake - or seven." She joked. "Or all of them." She couldn't resist taking the joke further.
