Honestly, Iris just wanted to cringe and go home when he told her he'd heard about her. It wasn't surprising considering that for a few days everyone had been talking about her kidnap, but what with Leon and his sister arriving, and Liam returning the talk about her had died down a lot. It still made her uncomfortable, though. She was glad when he changed the topic of conversation. "No, i'm here by myself. Not waiting for anyone" She told him, but she couldn't help but let her eyes slip to the door, wondering for a moment if Jasper was going to be coming or not. That's when she noticed Rose slipping in, looking a bit off. Frowning lightly, she was about to excuse herself to go and talk to her, but just as she opened her lips Leon had already began talking again. "Uh, sure" She said, pushing a faint smile to her lips before beginning to walk over to the petite brunette. Maybe just walking past the new boy was a bit rude, but honestly, she was more worried about whether Rose was okay then his opinion on her.

That was the one thing he hadn't heard about: her being kidnapped. As much as it was gossiped about and shoved down the throats of the students here, Leon didn't know. Rose hadn't spoken about it and he didn't know to ask, so he was naturally oblivious to what had happened to her just as he was with everything else that went on in this town. He didn't have a clue about the monsters that lurked the halls, but most would insist he was kept that way. Innocence was bliss.
Catching her sideways glare towards the door, he just smirked. She may not have come here with someone, but she clearly wanted a certain person to show up. He didn't comment on it, that wasn't his place. The students at Beacon Hills High had such a tight woven community that he'd never be able to understand what went on here even if he desperately tried to- which he didn't. He stuck his effort elsewhere, particularly in the main reason they were here in the first place- learning. Everyone was so caught up with each other, and he never understood why. Leon just never let himself get distracted by them, preferring to just do his work and get on with life.
Though one girl slipped through the chinks and his armor and managed to derail his attention constantly. So when Iris agreed to go check on Rose with him, he was already stepping away- much like herself. They were both eager to check on a friend, and that made him smile. Iris was much like Rose said, and she showed it, even if normally her motion would have been claimed rude. It didn't bother him.
Glancing at his side every now and then to make he wasn't walking too fast (or too slow), he tried to keep his pace level with Iris' until they finally reached their friend. Nodding at Iris, he figured she'd want to talk first considering he'd only known Rose for a few weeks and that couldn't touch the bond girls shared. Offering each of them a small smile, he kept back, ready to hop in and give hugs if needed, but just waiting silently until he was addressed.

Once the pair had reached Rose Iris transformed her face by pushing her frown away and instead pushing on a bright smile. "Hey" She said, her voice friendly. She knew the two of them were currently friends, but she wasn't sure if she was currently being over friendly or not. Oh well. Rose needed cheering up, and it was Christmas, and who couldn't be over happy at Christmas? "Are you okay?" She asked, pulling her thoughts back to the dance and the girl in front of her. Glancing over at Leon for a second she wondered if he was planning on actually saying anything, or if her was just willing to stand there while the two girls talked.

Looking up from a piece of stuck glitter which was twinkling on the floor, Rose was surprised to see both Iris and Leon stood in front of her. Wow, did she look messed up or were they just concerned friends? Rose hoped the latter, she'd actually made an effort to look decent that evening. "Hello," Rose said to the pair of them, straightening up against the wall. Was she okay? Well, in general she was but right at that moment, probably not. "Um, well, Liam's back." Rose glanced over at Liam and Skylar with a small frown before addressing Leon, "my ex-boyfriend... I don't think I mentioned his name."
Pulling at the hem of her dress, Rose felt the need to fiddle, to distract herself. "And I don't know what to do about that because what if he wants to talk to me, what the hell am I supposed to say that can make the fact that I am an awful person any better?"

Stepping forward a bit, Leon nodded with her words, noting the name 'Liam' for future reference. Rose often spoke of her ex-boyfriend, but never said his name, and he never asked. That was just one of those things he knew was a sensitive topic and something he wouldn't press on about. A soft smile landing on his lips at the news that he was back, he was glad that the boy was unharmed. He knew how much Rose cared for him, and if Liam would have been hurt, she would have been shattered.
His grin faltering as she spoke, Leon shook his head and interjected, face stern as he crossed hi arms over his chest. He spoke with the utmost sincerity, his accented tone convincing himself, "Rose, you are anything but an awful person. You may have messed up with whatever happened between you and him, but any bloke would be lucky enough to have you. Just talk to the lad, it'll be okay if it was meant to be that way. Yeah?"
God, he hoped his words would prove in some way helpful.

Late. Jasper was late, and not in the kind of 'I'm trying to look cool by turning up really late' way, but more in the 'it's Winston's day off and Levi demanded a lift, which resulted in us both being late as someone couldn't find their white clutch bag even though it was on the stairs' way. Still, the pair of them were there now and, even if Jasper hadn't wanted to come in the first place, he was actually kind of glad that Levi had insisted on going. He wasn't sure what had gotten into the girl, what with the sudden decision that she wanted to actually take part in school life (hell, she'd even helped decorate the hall for the dance, despite Jasper's insistence that that was possibly the lamest thing to do in existence), but he wasn't about to complain. If anything, it was nice to see her actually interacting with the world instead of hiding in her room with more books than friends and a camera.
Slipping into the dance and waving Levi off as she entered into the fray of sweaty bodies and forgotten problems, he kept to the outskirts of the hall, taking a minute to adjust his hair as his gaze flickered across the room, looking for someone that he actually knew. Sure, he could talk to some random stranger, maybe even end up in an unkempt janitor's closet by the end of the night, getting messier and dirtier than the old, worn mops that hung, hugging each other like they'd been high school sweethearts, once upon a time. Only he couldn't, and he wouldn't, purely because he already knew it'd mean nothing and, as much as he was all for meaningless relationships and fuck buddies, he was a little too worried about what a certain someone would think if she found out.
Not that he was into her or cared what she thought; relationship and emotions just weren't appropriate when you spent half of your time trying to avoid getting yourself killed. No. He didn't like her. Definitely not.
Finally noticing Iris, Rose and some unfortunate kid that was in the wrong place at the wrong time, he made his way over to the small group, his old joker smile returning to his lips, almost as if the King-of-the-School attitude had never even crept away as he became gripped with responsibilities. It nice to claim his throne back again, even if it was this exact kind of attitude that made most of his kingdom hate him in the first place. Oh well. Finally, he made it to the small gathering, gaze quickly brushing over Iris before settling on the boy, a kid he'd only ever seen briefly in passing. In truth, he hadn't even bothered to learn his name; 'guess he'll just have to go by Rose's bitch' he decided, quickly noticing how he seemed to be pulled in towards her - not like moths to a flame but rather like a hobo to a dustbin fire. After all, he looked too desperate to be anything but a peasant, and Rose always was garbage.
"Yeah, it'll be totally fine," he chimed in, having been listening to the conversation from across the room as he made his way over, "I mean, it's not like you ruined the guy's life, almost got most of his friends killed and turned against him during a time when he was confused and scared." There was a pause, and Jasper lost his smile, face dropping to a deadpan as he let the silence hang for a second or two before adding, "Oh, no, wait. I mean, seriously Rose, I know I always called you Dopey, but sometimes you're so profoundly stupid that I wonder whether I pinned you wrong - maybe you're more of a Dumbo." The words were overly harsh, he knew that, but he truly resented the girl, and honestly didn't care who knew it.

Before his reassuring words even had a chance to sink into the confines of her ears, there was another shabby voice breaking through. What he was saying was the exact opposite of what Leon had eased out, ruining what he was trying to do. Rose was upset as it was, he was making it worse and the Brit really didn't appreciate it. Turning some to face the man at his side, he met his gaze with a passive glare. The two were the same height, if anything Leon's quiff made him a bit taller. The way this boy carried himself with such a cocky strut and his words were soaked in an obnoxious tone, it was really simple to tell this guy was a attention bringing dick. Exactly the kind of person he personally tried to avoid at all costs because they made everything about them and killed the mood.
This argument wasn't his place, and as much he didn't want to leave Rose with this boy, he knew that he should go. What was going on was deeper than him, and it wouldn't get resolved with him around anyways. So with a brief sigh, he just gave his friend a slow nod and spun on his heels. Honestly, Leon couldn't care less about what Iris thought of him walking away or what the boy would say as he just ditched them. He'd talk to Rose later about it, if she even wanted to.
Catching his sister's eye, he nodded towards the door and she quickly came to his side. Willow hadn't been having fun anyways, so leaving wasn't a hassle. Not even looking back, he headed out of the gym and into the parking lot.
He'd go take his sibling out for ice cream, the frozen lactose was better than bickering with some hard-headed douche any how.

Before Rose could even respond to Leon her most favourite person in the whole entire world appeared. Tensing up, Rose crossed her arms over her chest as he spoke unable to help herself from rolling her eyes. Jasper's words were cruel, even for him but Rose's face had become an utmost look of stone, eyes hardly flicking to Leon as, sadly, he left her to fend for herself against Jasper. Maybe that was for the best though, after all, Leon didn't know about the real life monsters which lurked in Beacon Hills. What could she say in response to what Jasper had just said? At least he hated her already so it wasn't as if anything she could say could effect their 'friendship' in someway.
Sighing, Rose tried to think of something witty and clever to say but nothing came to mind. "Jasper, what miserable cold hole did you crawl through to get here? I mean you could have at least tried to be more original with your jokes, I feel you've used the 'dopey' joke a bit too much." Rose had no clue as to what she was babbling she just knew that if she didn't start speaking soon either Jasper or Iris would and Rose had no clue as to which side Iris would take or if like Leon, she'd simply walk away and leave them to their bickering. "And maybe if you were a better alpha, Liam wouldn't have been so scared and confused."

Skylar shrugged, shaking her head. "It's complicated," she said, deciding not to explain the entire thing to Liam because there was no way he'd understand anyways. "Speak of the devil," Sky mumbled, nodding towards Jasper who seemed to have just arrived and was talking to Iris and Rose. After glancing around the room to see if his blonde little sister had accompanied him, she said, "Because the appropriate way to act at when your two best friends are standing right next to each other, one of which has been missing for weeks, is to go talk to your fucking girlfriend. Or whatever the fuck she is." Skylar didn't actually have anything against Iris, other than the fact that Jasper seemed to like her a hell of a lot more than he liked Sky. Iris was actually a genuinely nice person, and they could have been friends if things were different. But they weren't.
Skylar the rolled her eyes and looked back at Liam. "Hey, you wanna get drunk?" Sky asked him, pulling a flask slowly out of her purse before shoving it back in before anyone could see. "Or are you still a goody-two-shoes?" Skylar didn't really care if Liam wanted to drink with her or not. She just wanted to distract herself from Jasper, and she had many methods of doing that.

Liam's ears perked up when he heard his name across the group of people. He scoffed when he heard them talk about him and no one actually talking to him about why he ran away. "I'll just confess to my father if things get too bad," Liam teased. He looked at Sky. "So should we stay here or go somewhere else?" Liam she'd. Seeing his other two friends ignore him just made him want to get wasted.

Sky laughed. "Just gonna pretend I didn't hear that," she said, then she took Liams hand and went out to the back of the gym. It was obvious shed done that before. She pulled out the flask, took a swig and almost choked on it. "Damn that's strong," she said with a giggle. Then she handed the flask to Liam. "Don't worry about drinking too much. Ive got a whole bottle in my car." Skylar never went to a dance unprepared.

Liam followed sky outside and drank some of the drink. It took a lot more to get drunk than it did a couple months ago. He looked at Sky. "Will you're always prepared, " Liam commented.

Skylar shrugged. "Drinking is a distraction, and with Jasper around, I always need a distraction," she explained. Skylar could handle her alcohol, but her body weight still got the best of her sometimes and made her get drunk a lot easier. But Sky didn't mind. She just wanted to get wasted and forget everything.

Liam sighed,"trying not to drink as much since we have Aubree in the house now." Liam said. His one goal was to protect his sister. He knew him as a werewolf made his sister a target. Plus he didn't wnat another repeat of what happened to alex.

"And how's that going?" she asked with a laugh as she took another swig. She was barely feeling it yet, but she would get there eventually. She always did.
