Pierce was relieved when Mason changed the subject. And to something positive, even better. Mason obviously knew how to keep his parents happy, which would probably prove to be useful throughout the night. --- Nate smiled and nodded at his parents. "Yeah, she's really fantastic at it too," he said. He hoped his parents might start being a little more positive.
Mrs. Miller seemed surprised at Mason's comment. "You're only fifteen, correct? That's quite impressive," she said with a smile before taking a bite of her food.

Myra breathed out a small hidden sigh of relief when the subject was just changed. Though she had to make herself not blush because she wasn't used to so many people talking about her. "Yes, it's for art." She didn't get to do much other than get coffee or a donut but sometimes she got to pick which design is her favorite and sometimes shed get to help the person design something or paint it. Those things made the job good nod anything else.

That seemed to shut Mrs. Miller up, at least for the time being. But Mr. Miller had a few questions of his own. Of the two of them, he was probably the more religious one. "Pierce, I have to ask, what made you chose this, um, lifestyle?" he said, obviously trying not to sound too rude. --- Pierce gave Mr. Miller a confused look. "Lifestyle?" he asked. He wasn't completely sure what he was referring to. "I chose to move away from my family because it was safer for me, if that's what you mean." Though Pierce had an idea that it wasn't what Mr. Miller was actually asking.

"Dad." Mason warned harshly. He glared at his dad. He was Closevto getting mad but didn't want to ruin this for Nate and Myra.
Myra just squeezed Nate's hand softly. She was scared his parents were starting to hate her and her brother c

Mr. Miller shrugged slightly. "I'm just saying...Well, um, I'm sure your aware that we are a very religious family. So it's probably not a surprise when you hear that we can't exactly condemn your...behavior with our son," he explained. Mrs. Miller just nodded in agreement. --- Pierce looked down, suddenly feeling extremely uncomfortable. He knew that Mason's family was religious, but he didn't think they were going to be so prejudice about homosexuality. "I respect your opinion, sir. However, I can tell you that my feelings for you son are probably the best thing I've ever had in my life. And whether or not you think they are valid, I can say that I would never do anything to hurt him. Ever." Pierce glanced at Myra, trying to figure out what she was thinking. Her temper was short, and she often liked defending him for whatever reason, so he wanted to be sure she was controlling herself.

"Your son Is bi dad just like his boyfriend and has been his whole entire life. This is why I refused to tell any of you." Mason said trying to calm himself. Well he was probably spending the night here now.
---
Before Myra could help herself she looked up and look directly at Mr.Miller she had control for now and she was glad. "What's wrong with being gay?" Myra said unable to stop herself. She didn't regret what she said even though she would later.

Nate squeezed Myra's hand, knowing that she might lose her temper. He knew this was about to go downhill, and it wasn't going to end well. Could he pull it back together? He wasn't sure. But he wasn't going to step in just yet. --- Mr. Miller raised an eyebrow at the young girl. "According to Nate, you had a religious upbringing, correct? You should know the answer to that question," he said as if it were blatantly obvious. --- Pierce sighed, knowing that this conversation was not going to end well. "Sir, I understand your position, but whether you chose to believe this or not, being gay, or being bi in this case, is not a choice of lifestyle. It's a part of who we are. Just like the color of your eyes or you hair. You can try to cover it up, but it's always going to be a part of you."

"And my parents are the reason I'm here today so we see how much I agreed with them." Myra said in a calm voice which made it seem scary. She was gonna have to leave soon. If she didn't leave soon then shed turn in front of everyone.
-- "Stop." Mason said sternly. "Dad just stop you have that much of a problem with me being bi? Lia doesn't, Nate doesn't, even Preston doesn't." Mason said he looked at his dad and just wanted to get off the subject.

Mrs. Miller finally decided to speak up. "Mason, don't speak to you father like that," she said. Then the whole room was just silent for a long time. Nate wanted to say something, but he couldn't thing of the right thing to say. Pierce knew that anything he said would just be used against him. Finally, Mr. Miller stood up abruptly. "I think it's time for us to go," he said. "Nate, Mason, come on."
Nate shook his head. "I'll come home later," he said, his tone stern. He was never so forceful with his father, but now he was angry. And he wasn't going to leave Myra now.

"I'm stating here." Mason said. He glared at his father. "For the night." Mason said clarifying. He then took pierces hand and squeezed it.
--- Myra felt herself wanting to cry so she stood up went to her room, let the cat out, close the door, locked it, sat on her Ned." Myra laid on the pillows face first and began to cry because she couldn't stand anything that was happening. She just wanted a normal perfect life but that impossible to get and she wanted it so badly. She just wanted everyone to leave she wanted to put in some headphones and just escape.

Nate's parents left, deciding it was better not to argue with the kids for now. They would talk to them when they returned home. Nate tried to follow Myra to her room, but she locked him out. Pierce gave him a sympathetic look, but didn't offer much help other than that. He just took Mason's hand and went to his own bedroom, collapsing on his bed and putting his head in his hands.
"That was a fucking disaster," he said, sounding frustrated. He'd wanted this dinner to go so well, but everything that could have gone wrong did.
Nate hesitantly knocked on Myra's bedroom door. "Myra, can we talk?" he said, his voice shaking.

"Please just go away." Myra said sitting up so her voice wasn't muffled by the pillows. She didn't want to say she wanted Pierce because she felt like that would be rude but pierce knew exactly how she felt most of the time when she was sad. She was still laying in her dress something she should probably change out of.
----
Mason went in his drawer in Pierce's bedroom and pulled out a hoodie and basketball shorts. "My parents are dicks." Mason settled with he really wasn't sure what else to say. He laid on The bed after he changed and looked at Pierce.

Nate sighed. "Myra, I'm sorry. I really didn't think that would happen," he said. He felt extremely guilty now, and all he wanted was to make Myra feel better. Whether she'd let him in or not was the real problem. --- Pierce sighed, then laid down next to Mason. "At least you're on my side," he said with a slight smile. He didn't bother changing out of his suit, deciding that he rather liked how he looked in the thing.

"It's fine Nate," myra said. She wiped her eyes and sat on her bed. Checked her phone for a moment and then threw it on the carpet. She stood up and looked at herself in the mirror with her makeup completely smeared she looked like she came from a horror movie. She just grabbed a makeup remover and wiped it off. She never really wore make up anyway, she never really wore make up. Myra thought about pierce said and began wondering if it was true about personalities too because as much as Myra tried covering it up she was always the weird one.
----
Mason smiled kissed Pierce's neck softly. "I'm always on your side." He said softly. He kept kissing him and giving him hickies that would disappear in a second because he was a werewolf.
