Myra was busy fixing her hair and ready to have a full on panic attack she was wearing a strapless black lace dress with red silk underneath it and was just trying to look normal. She never felt normal and it bugged her. She was watching off the sharpie off of her arm where she drew many times. She went into Pierce's room. "Pierce help me I can't get the sharpie off." Myra said. She looked at Pierce looking like she was on the verge of crying. She normally wouldn't bother but with the way nate described his parents it made Myra nervous.
"I just want everything to go perfect and then this. Why do we have to have dinner here? Why did I suggest dinner Pierce what is wrong with me?!" Myra asked but nearly yelled.
---- It was just Mason, Nate and their parents going to meet Pierce and Myra mainly because Mason wanted to go because he could tell his brother was nervous and he knew how his parents were aka nothing like the Reed's. He stood downstairs and waited for everyone to get ready. 'Everything okay there?' Mason texted Pierce. Meanwhile Myra was still nearly about to have a break down trying to make sure everything was perfect.

Nate was probably the most nervous he'd ever been in his entire life (and that's including the time that he had four AP exams on one day, so that's saying something). He kept running his hands through his hair and biting at his lip, two of his tell-tale nervous ticks. As his parents peppered him with questions about Myra and her family, Nate tried to give them the best impression that he possibly could. He was terrified of his parents embarrassing him or not liking Myra or who knows what else. --- Pierce was fixing his shirt collar and checking out his new black hair in the mirror (which he totally didn't dye just for this occasion) when he heard his phone buzz. He sent back 'Myra's a little nervous.'. But then Myra ran in having a full-on freak out, and he proceeded to send another text 'Okay, maybe that's a bit of an understatement.'
Then he turned his attention to his little sister, placing his phone back on the table beside him. "It's all going to be fine, alright?" he said, putting a hand on her shoulder. Then he went into the bathroom and grabbed hand-sanitizer and handed it to her. "This should work to get that off."

"You don't understand pierce,"Myra said squirting the hand sanitizer on we hand and getting the beautiful drawings off of her hands. "You don't care what people say. I do. Well not all people but my boyfriend's parents I do and I don't think they're gonna like a girl who doesn't know what a normal life is or what the difference between a salad fork and a regular fork is." Myra said going on and on. "Please don't ruin this pierce. Don't mention mom or-or dad or Candace or the training or fighting or any of that. Pierce I don't even care if you have to lie." Myra said.
---
Mason smirke at his phone then texted back. 'My parents are pre questioning Nate.' He looked over at Nate and saw him nervously run his hand through his hair. Mason just smirked. "Relax mom...dad Myra is the best girl for NIGJT trust me you should seem them when they're together it makes me want to puke."

Pierce nodded. "I understand," he said. Pierce wasn't too concerned with Mason's parents opinion of him, but he knew how much this mattered to Myra. So he was going to do everything he could to make it all work out. He'd spent the whole day cleaning the house, and he had gone out and bought nicer clothes for the occasion. It was going to be a nice night. It had to be. --- Nate raised an eyebrow at Mason. "You're one to talk," he said before he could give it a second thought. Wait, did Nate actually just make a joke? Weird things happened when the boy got nervous. It was like his nerves actually made him seem calmer. Maybe that would work in his favor.

" Candace isn't coming over tonight is she?" Myra asked. She was completely worried that she would. Can dance tended to make random appearances. She looked at the clock and sighed then looked at the table. His parents would be there in like ten minuets which made Myra ' s stomach twist. Myra had never had a normal night in her life and she didn't think she'd even be able to pull it off.
---
"Nate, it'll be fine." Mason said with a smile.
"Where does she live?" Nate's dad asked. He looked over at the two boys.
"Where are parents?" Nate's mom asked.

Pierce shook his head. "No, I made sure of that. I can tolerate her when it's just me, but I'm not letting her fuck this up," he said. His nerves were showing through slightly. Sure, it didn't really matter if Mason's parents liked him or not, but he still wanted them to like him. --- Nate groaned slightly, but then caught himself. "She lives right down this street here. And she had some family issues back in Nevada, so her brother takes care of her here." Nate was already tired of answering his parents questions, and he knew that Myra would be too. "But, um, if you could refrain from bring up the whole family drama thing? It's kind of a sensitive subject." Nate wasn't going to let his parents screw this up for him.

Myra went in Pietce's room and was ready to cry because she was freaking herself out to much. "Maybe we should cancel I'm sure they haven't left yet they live like right here and I don't want to do this anymore." Myra said she started to cry even though she didn't want to. She was just scared that normal people would hate her at least she felt like they were normal.
---
"What's the family issue?" Nate's mom asked. She looked over at Nate and raised an eyebrow. For the first even Mason didn't know what to say. Mason was nervous too and it wasn't about Pierce or Myrahis was more accident related where he felt terrified to eat in front of his parents since the first time after the accident because he still had small trouble doing certain things. He was almost okay but he was having major trouble with a lot of things still.

Pierce shook his head. "Hey, calm down," he said. "There's nothing to worry about, okay? They're going to love you. I mean, how could they not? You're the exact opposite of me." Pierce then realized that it meant they would probably hate him, but then again he wasn't exactly acting like his normal self tonight. --- Nate sighed. "I'm not really sure. I just know that they've had a rough past, but they've made a new life for themselves here," he said. It wasn't really true, since NAte knew a lot more about their past then he let on, but he figured if he said he didn't know then it might keep them from asking again.

Myra just hugged her brother whether her brother wanted it or not. She couldn't remember the last time they hugged. She didn't normally say this to her brother and honestly had no idea whereit came from. "I love you." Myra said quietly as if she were too shy to say it louder which she was.
-- "Let's just go before I decide not to go. Jason will you be-"
"I'm fine." Mason said quietly knowing it would be about going in a car. He just walked out and followed them into the car. 'On our way.' Mason texted Pierce.

Pierce was a little caught off guard by the hug, but he hugged her back a moment later. "Love you too," he said with a smile. He was glad that he and Myra were actually close now. It was nice to know that he had family that really cared for him. --- Nate fixed his tie a little, and then got in the car. He was so nervous he was shaking, and he just had to pray that it would all be okay.

Myra stopped hugging pierce. "I have to fix my make up." Myra said before walking away and going to the bathroom to fix it. She already had dinner on the table. Makes was curled up on some pillows on the couch. Myra heard the door bell go off as she was petting Malec trying to calm herself. She opened the door and smiled at their family. "Hi come in its nice to meet you." Myra said with a smile. That was until Malec got up and wrapped himself around Nate. "Oh sorry." Myra said she smiled at Nate and picked up Makec she kissed Nate's cheek softly then set Malec on her bed in her room then came back. "You guys can sit down at the table. " Myra said with a smile.
--- Mason decided to go to Pierce's room to find him. He saw pierce look down at his phone and came up behind him and put his hand on pierce's eyes then began kissing his neck. "Guess who?" Mason said softly in Pierces ear.

Pierce chuckled a little as Myra ran off to the bathroom, then he headed to his room to make sure he still looked presentable. He'd slicked his hair back and with his sleek suit, he actually looked pretty well put together. He was proud of himself for pulling it off. He was looking at his phone which had buzzed a few minutes ago when he felt someone walk up being him. "Hmmm, lemme guess, Myra?" he joked, then turned around to kiss Mason quickly. "Do I look alright?" he asked. "I dyed my hair for you. Be proud." --- Nate nervously walked up to the door, and knocked with a shaky hand. He was almost stunned when Myra opened up the door. "You look fantastic," he whispered in Myra's ear after she'd kissed his cheek. He felt suddenly calmer with Myra there, but the look on his mother's face took that right away from him. She walked in, and it was clear that she was already judging the place. Sure, it wasn't much, but for two minors who were living on their own, it was pretty good. But to Mrs. Miller, it obviously wasn't enough.
Both of Nate's parents soon found their seats at the dinner table, and Nate was probably more nervous that he had been all night as he sat down next to Myra.

"But I liked your red hair." Mason said with a laugh. He took pierces hand and dragged out there. "Before they instantly decide they hate Myra and Nate because of us." Mason whispered. He sat down next to Pierce. Myra just took Nate's hand right when everyone was sat down. They were so close no one would notice they were holding hands. Myra waited for them to start eating. Myra instantly felt more nervous and she called hear Nate's heart and her own being loud.

Pierce sighed and followed Mason out to the table. "Mr. and Mrs. Miller, it's so nice to meet you," he said kindly, shaking Mr. Miller's hand before taking his seat next to Mason. He could act sophisticated when he needed to. After all, this was the person that his father had always wanted him to be, so he had a pretty good idea of what that was. --- Nate was actually relieved to see how well Pierce had cleaned up since he knew his parents would immediately write Myra off if Pierce acted like he didn't care. "Hey Pierce," he greeted him with a small smile.
As everyone passed the food around, Mrs. Miller decided to get down to business. She started with Pierce. "So, Pierce, you have such an interesting name. Where did that come from?" --- Pierce was somewhat surprised at how quickly Mason's mother began the interrogations, though he probably shouldn't have been that surprised. "Actually, my given name is Edward. Pierce is just a nickname that my family came up with, and it just kind of stuck," he explained. It wasn't really true, but it was better than saying he changed his name because he didn't like it.

Myra decided shed count the laws this was the first of many lies tonight. She grabbed her portion of food it wasn't much because Myra's stomach was twisted. She squeezed Nate's hand. Then looked at Pierce. She didn't know what to say and pierce has been to family dinners before.
--- "Mom dad did you know Myra is an intern already?" Mason asked trying to turn the conversation away from Pierce and his name which led to family life.
