Liam found his way to the cemetery. He normally came here to pray or talk to his brother when I lot was going on and he didnt normally tell anybody because he started crying half the time when he was here and Liam hated crying in front of people.
Liam got to the grave. He put down a toy car on the grave. It used to be Alex's favorite.
"Hey God so it's been awhile since I came with a major pray like this...not really since around the time Alex passed away..." Liam said trailing off a lump in his throat forming. "And I'm sorry for all that I've done wrong since then....the drinking, the cursing, defying my parents....I shouldn't have done any of them. But despite that god I feel odd admitting this but I'm scared. I'm scared for the safety of all my friends and even that girl Myra I just met. Things are changing so fast. I'm afraid that well make the wrong move and one of us well end up dead." Liam said finally crying. "Please protect us. I know everything happens for a reason but I can't lose Jasper or Rose I need them...they're all I have left other than my parents. Please please just protect us. Amen."
Liam finished the prayer and stared at the grave and began wondering what it'd be like if his brother were still here. Liam should've saved him and he'd never be able to forgive himself for that.

Death was never something that Skylar had been forced to deal with before. At least, not a death of someone close to her. The only funeral she'd ever been to was he great-aunt's, and she'd only met the women once when she was only three years old. Dealing with the death of her father was a confusing situation, to say the least. She'd never met her father until the day of his death, and he was planning on slaughtering her along with the rest of her friends. And while Skylar knew that she shouldn't miss the man, she didn't even know him, there was a part of her that felt lost knowing that he really was dead. All of her life she liked to imagine that her father was off living a happy life, even if he didn't want to be a part of hers. Now she knew the truth, and that hurt more than anything.
There wasn't much of a funeral for him, considering most of his family was dead and the ones that weren't didn't care enough to show up, but Skylar was there. She didn't know why she went, but it felt like the right thing to do. He may not have been a very good man, but he was still the reason that she existed, so if no one else was going to watch his body be buried, she would.
Why she decided to come back, she didn't know. She told herself that it would help her clear her mind, but she knew that wasn't really it. Either way, she was there, her dress floating up and down in the breeze. There was a figure up ahead of her on his knees, appearing to be praying. Skylar stayed as quiet as she could, not wanting to disrupt the man. But as she got closer, she recognized the person. Liam. She listened to what he was saying only because she was too close not to hear it. I'm scared. I'm scared for the safety of all my friends and even that girl Myra I just met. Things are changing so fast. I'm afraid that well make the wrong move and one of us well end up dead. Please protect us. I know everything happens for a reason but I can't lose Jasper or Rose I need them...they're all I have left other than my parents. Please please just protect us. Amen.
Skylar put her hand over her mouth, tears pricking at her eyes. She didn't really know why she was crying, though. It wasn't news to her that her life as well as her friends' were in danger, and something was bound to happen sooner or later, but it was seeing Liam break down like that that did her in. Liam had to be one of the strongest people, mentally, that she'd ever met, so it had to be bad if he was falling apart. Skylar went to turn and make her way to her father's grave silently, but she stepped on a twig and it cracked loud enough that she knew she'd given herself up. She turned around quickly to apologize. "Sorry, I mean, I wasn't eavesdropping, I promise. I was just going this way, and I saw you here, and I just...sorry," she said frantically, her cheeks blushing from the embarrassment.

Liam looked over at sky. He was unsure what to think part of him wanted to run away considering he was still crying and the other part wanted to play it off and pretend like he wasn't just crying. He went with the second one. "No its fine." Liam said. "What're you doing here?" Liam wasn't that close too sky and it didn't cross his mind she might wanna visit her dad.

Skylar bit her lip, trying to decide if she wanted to lie about why she was there or not. "I, uh, came to visit my father's grave..." she said, trailing off. "I don't really know why, though." Skylar looked down at her hands, which were tangled together in front of her. Was it really as awkward as she felt it was? Maybe, maybe not. But Skylar felt as if she were trespassing, and she'd just been caught.

" Because he's still your dad." Liam said. "And you have a right to be sad." Liam said. He gave her a small smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

Skylar shrugged. "I guess, yeah," she said. "But he was still a stranger to me. And I let Jasper kill him." Skylar didn't regret it, but it still felt wrong to let her best friend kill her father.

"That doesn't mean to can't visit him." Liam said. "I could've saved my little brother if I swan fastest enough but I didn't and I still see him." Liam said quietly.

Skylar shook her head. "It's different for you, though," she said. "I mean, my father obviously didn't care about me. My mother only had one picture of him, and I had to steal it to know what he even looked like. I grew up hating him for leaving me and my mom by ourselves...I guess it just feels weird to be mourning someone that I only knew for a few minutes." Skylar shrugged then looked down at her feet. "Sorry again, I didn't mean to intrude or anything."

Skylar just shrugged. "Yeah, I guess," she said. "I'm sorry about your brother too, by the way." Skylar didn't actually know about what had happened to Liam's brother until just now, but it seemed like the right thing to do was to offer her apologies.

"It's okay I've been hearing that for a year now. I know the whole compassion thing bug it's not gonna bring someone back." Liam said with a sigh. He always wondered why God would do that to him. Just take his little brother from him.

Skylar nodded. "Yeah," she said. She wasn't really sure what to say after that, so she just stood quietly rocking back and forth from her heels to her toes. "Life just sucks," she said with a sigh.

" The trails in life suck life Is amazing." Liam said not caring how weird he sounded. "I mean this is one trial one trial that impacted me but so was the one where I got sick and where I was gonna die but Jasper saved me and if I really felt like life sucked I wouldn't have let him."

Skylar raised an eyebrow at him. "Yes, so you let your best friend kill his own father and screw up his entire family's lives so that you could keep living yours," she said, then immediately regretted it afterwords. It wasn't her place to judge Liam for that, considering Jasper was the one that actually did it, and she was still in love with him. "Sorry, that was mean...."

"He had already killed his dad and it wasn't just for me so how about you go to talk to jasper because if that was the case I would've rather died." Liam said rolling his eyes and standing up.
